Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 7 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 7 is fast approaching, which means one thing, fantasy football! With various transfer dilemmas, this captaincy analysis will aim to help you in deciding who to pick for that all important captains armband.

Before we go on and analyse this weeks picks, here is how last weeks captaincy analysis did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 13 points
2. Philippe Coutinho – 14 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 2 points
Differential – Nacer Chadli – 1 points
Gamble – Christian Benteke – 7 points

So not a bad week at all, onward and upwards, here’s this weeks selections:

1. Alexis Sanchez (BUR)

The main man at Arsenal is now starting to get back into his normal groove, the Sanchez we all love. The one who’s scoring, the one who’s assisting, the one who’s guaranteeing you over 10 FPL points every game. No surprise to see him at number one spot, considering his form! In the space of 2 games he has scored 3 goals, assisted 1 and scored 24 FPL points (48 if you captained him!). Arsenal take on Burnley this week, who managed to keep Watford from scoring, but you’d think that they won’t be able to do it again… He’ll surely get on the score sheet, but will he get more than 10 points for the third game in a row?

2. Segio Aguero (TOT)

Aguero is a player that everyone in Fantasy Premier League should own. He scores consistently, getting more than 10 points every week, he’s a brilliant pick for captaincy. You’d think that Tottenham is a tough opponent for Aguero, but hardcore FPL managers will know how good Aguero plays against Spurs. The Argentine loves playing against them, scoring 4 goals in one game a few years ago! He may not do it again, but considering his form, you’d be an fool not to consider containing him!

3. Philippe Coutinho (SWA)

Liverpool look frightening this season under Klopp. They’ve scored the most goals this season, without actually playing a proper striker! Coutinho has been the the main supplier of the FPL points for the Liverpool midfield. He is in fantastic form at the moment, scoring once and assisting 3 times in two games. If he can become a little more clinical, then he’ll be a big player for FPL managers this season. Liverpool take on Swansea this week who conceded 3 against Manchester City last week, can Liverpool do the same, preferably Coutinho getting the majority of the points?

Differential – Marcus Rashford (STK)

A player that appears on everyone lips at the moment. 18 year old Marcus Rashford is on a magnificent streak. He’s scored twice in two games, a hat trick for England Under 18’s and a goal in the EFL Cup, earning himself a spot in many teams. Question is, will he do well as a captain? It’s a big gamble, due to his low ownership and rotation risk, however if he can deliver the goals, he’ll be worth it.

Gamble – Eden Hazard (HUL)

A player that almost everyone has shipped out due to his poor form, however Chelsea take on Hull City this week who have been conceding goals left, right and centre to many teams. If Chelsea can do well, you’d expect to see Hazard in and around the goals. With many FPL managers getting rid of the Belgian, his low ownership will make him a very good shout for captaincy. It’s a gambler, but as they say, he who dares…
