FPL Gameweek 19 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

After a mixed bag of gameweek 18 results, managers will be looking at squad rotation for the upcoming fixtures, with not much gap between the games. So here we are yet again analyzing how each game could pan out and highlighting the players who are looking all set to perform in gameweek 19.

So we wish y’all a very Happy New Year and we hope you start 2017 with a lot of those green arrows!

Hull vs Everton

The Tigers simply don’t have anything going for them, after getting hammered for 3 goals last time out against the Blues of Manchester. Meanwhile, Everton on the other hand had a triumphant visit away to the home of the defending champions & with the morale each side possesses, it seems like it’ll be going the Toffees’ way.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (9.4m)

The big Belgian returned to scoring ways after blanking in 2 consecutive games at home and looks poised to haunt a shaky Tigers defence.

PREDICTION: Hull 1-3 Everton

Burnley vs Sunderland

A huge tie in the bottom half of the table as the Black Cats travel to Turf Moor. Both sides have encountered pretty different results lately, but are still in desperate need of points and this could bring the best out of both. It seems to be an open ended game with both sides battling it out for each and every point.

STAR MAN: Jermain Defoe (7.8m)

Having been goal shy in each of the last 4 games, he will definitely be wanting to get back to scoring ways.

PREDICTION: Burnley 2-2 Sunderland

Chelsea vs Stoke

Chelsea are flying sky high and seem to be doing no wrong after yet another trademark “few goals scored and no goals conceded” win. They are now undefeated in each of their last 12 league games and a visit from the Potters shouldn’t be something that should affect their momentum. An easy Chelsea win seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Diego Costa (10.7m)

The Spaniard is back from suspension and with the form he has been in, there seems to be nothing stopping him.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-0 Stoke

Leicester vs West Ham

Leicester have had a really bad first half to the season and find themselves just three points above the drop zone; things really need to change quickly for them otherwise they might find themselves in a spot of bother. West Ham on the other hand have won three in a row and have distanced themselves from the drop zone. This one will be an open game and the game will be all about attacking.

STAR MAN: Andy Carroll (6.2m)

The big man was on the scoresheet on Boxing Day and will be looking to build on it after returning from injury and justifying his place in the team.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-2 West Ham

Manchester United vs Middlesbrough

The Red Devils seem to have found their feet in the Premier League this season, with their star men starting to perform in crucial fixtures. Unbeaten in nine games, they have managed to narrow down the gap between them and the top four. Boro on the other hand are on the back of a disappointing loss to the Clarets and this definitely doesn’t seem to be the week they make a comeback. An easy win for the flamboyant United side.

STAR MAN: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (8.9m)

He was back from injury in the best of fashions with a scorpion kick at the Stretford end & will be in the mood for another strong performance.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-0 Middlesbrough

Southampton vs West Brom

Southampton have been doing a decent job under the new manager and have a chance of competing for the European spots with a win in this game. West Brom on the other hand have performed above expectations and find themselves in 9th spot. Both the teams will be looking for a win but it should be the Saints’ game for the taking with their home advantage.

STAR MAN: Sofiane Boufal (6.8m)

He should be the man to provide impetus to the Soton attack in the absence of their main man Austin.

PREDICTION: Southampton 1-0 West Brom

Swansea vs Bournemouth

Swansea, having sacked manager Bob Bradley, are in a spot of bother as they find themselves sitting on just 12 points and having lost their last three games. Fortunes need to change as soon as possible for them if they stand a chance of reviving their survival chances. Bournemouth on the other hand have had a decent start to the season but haven’t quite got the momentum to push themselves further up the table.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.5m)

The only player who looks like he can inspire Swansea to a win in a game will have to step up for his team yet again.

PREDICTION: Swansea 2-1 Bournemouth

Liverpool vs Man City

Both teams find themselves a point apart from each other have to keep up the pace if they want to stop Chelsea running away with the league. Liverpool as usual have been playing free flowing football, having scored 6 goals more than any other side in the Premier League this season, and City have the tendency to concede goals away, although the return of their star striker Sergio Aguero will boost up the City attack and will make for an amazing game at Anfield.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (12.8m)

The Argentine is back from suspension and will be looking to make an instant impact in this crucial game for the Citizens.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City

Watford vs Tottenham

Watford have failed to win any of their last three fixtures and Tottenham will be looking to take advantage of this situation with Manchester United breathing down their neck in the fight for that 5th place in the league table. Should be an easy Tottenham victory but the Hornets could prove to be a handful if they manage to get their attacking play right in front of their home fans.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.6m)

He will be key in breaking the Watford defence and making runs from the midfield to facilitate Kane.

PREDICTION: Watford 0-2 Tottenham

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

Big Sam is finally back, and seemed content sharing a point a piece last time out at Vicarage Road. In the other half of the table, the Gunners have not been at their very best in recent weeks and will indeed be looking to put in a big performance. The home advantage seems to be more than enough for the Gunners.

STAR MAN: Olivier Giroud (8.5m)

Having finally got the start on Boxing Day, he definitely did repay the manager’s faith and there seems to be no reason for him not doing it again. Definitely worth a punt with the run of fixtures the Gunners have.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 Crystal Palace
