FPL Gameweek 33 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 33, quite unselfishly, falls on a lovely, long bank holiday weekend. This means we can all gear ourselves up for the thrilling MNF game without having to go to work/school  ;).

So here is the gameweek 33 preview, where we analyse each fixture & highlight the players to be considered for your FPL side for the upcoming gameweek.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth

The lunchtime fixture is one which has its fate written all over it. Spurs are undefeated at home this season & are in prime form with 5 wins in as many games. A thumping victory for Spurs.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (11.3m)

The Englishman is back from injury, so soon after he was ruled out with it, and you’d like to think he will play a huge role in any Spurs goal.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 4-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace vs Leicester

Palace have all of a sudden picked up top from with 4 victories in the last 5 games, including wins against the mighty Chelsea & Arsenal. Leicester are no different as they seem to be a very different team since the sacking of Ranieri. This fixture definitely promises a lot of action & drama, with both sides fighting it out for each and every point.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Zaha (5.8m)

He has definitely added the cutting edge to his game this season and his speed & running behind defences could be something that could hurt the Foxes.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 2-0 Leicester

Everton vs Burnley

Everton have been in pretty good form lately and could well end up qualifying for the Europa League. Burnley on the contrary are fighting it out to reach the 40 point mark as soon as possible, but with the firepower & home form the Toffees possess, it seems to be an open & shut case.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (10.4m)

Form + fixture + top in the race of the golden boot = Captain material.

PREDICTION: Everton 3-0 Burnley

Stoke vs Hull

The Tigers have been playing some better football recently as they strive to escape the wrath of the relegation slots while the Potters, placed 13th on the table, have lost 4 games on the run & if they are to get back to winning ways, this is the fixture.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (7.1m)

The Austrian has been quiet this season, but will have to step up if the Potters are to have a shot at this.

PREDICTION: Stoke City 2-1 Hull

Sunderland vs West Ham

Sunderland have been shambolic this season and have shown no signs in recent weeks of making another great escape. The Hammers are struggling too, having secured just a single win in the last 5 games. This fixture seems like it’ll be an open game with both sides having a decent amount of opportunities to take home the 3 points.

STAR MAN: Jordan Pickford (4.1m)

The young shot stopper is bound to have a busy day at the the office.

PREDICTION: Sunderland 0-1 West Ham

Watford vs Swansea

Swansea are on a dreadful run of form & nothing seems to be going their way, having drawn just 1 point from their last 5 games. Watford on the other hand are on the back of a thumping to the hands of Spurs & will be looking to immediately bounce back. With the crowd behind the Hornets, this fixture seems like it’ll be going their way.

STAR MAN: Troy Deeney (6.9m)

The captain will definitely have to step up in order to earn his place in the starting XI and lead his side to the 3 points.

PREDICTION: Watford 2-1 Swansea

Southampton vs Manchester City

Southampton have picked up some form lately and have finally reached the 40 point mark. This week, they come up against the giant City side, who secured their first win from their last 5 games last time out. City will definitely be hungry to rise further up the table which could pose a threat for the Saints.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (12.8m)

The little Argentine has delivered in 5 of the last 6 games & is definitely due a massive haul. A man to watch out for.

PREDICTION: Southampton 1-3 Manchester City

West Brom vs Liverpool

The Baggies have completely lost momentum since reaching the 40 point mark while Liverpool are undefeated in their last 5 league games. This fixture gives the Reds the perfect opportunity to improve their record against teams outside the top 6.

STAR MAN: Philippe Coutinho (8.4m)

The Brazilian playmaker has the form, fixture & definitely the potential to deliver yet again.

PREDICTION: West Brom 1-2 Liverpool

Manchester United vs Chelsea

One of the biggest games of the season dawns upon us as Mourinho welcomes his former side to Old Trafford. Chelsea have overcome their surprise defeat to Palace with 2 wins on the trot, while on the other hand, United’s record at home hasn’t been at all impressive, but it is never too late to make amends. A home win for the hungry United side could to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (11.4m)

The big Swede is definitely in race for the golden boot & will be looking to lead his side from the front to overcome the table toppers.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 1-0 Chelsea

Middlesbrough vs Arsenal

Arsenal have definitely hit a new low after having lost 4 away games on the trot for the first time under Arsene Wenger. Boro on the other hand are winless since December 17th & don’t seem to be recovering. If the Gunners are to get their season back on track, this is the fixture.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.6m)

The Chilean is dejected and disappointed with the team’s performance & will be looking to take matters into his own hands to get the Gunners the much needed 3 points.

PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 0-2 Arsenal
