What a dream start to the 2016/17 Fantasy Premier League season for, what is my 2nd season in charge of the FPL Updates SH*THOUSE XI. I have already exceeded a rank lower than the total amount of players entered in gameweek 1 (3,517,128), a rank many dream of achieving! This has been down to the commitment from all 15 players for the majority of the season, this gameweek being an exception as 5 of my players failed to make an appearance. A score of 20 was my reward from 10 players as Ulloa remained solid to the Leicester bench meaning I didn’t field, for the first time, 11 players. Still, with 8 players all recording blanks and 2 players picking up a clean sheet, it wasn’t all that bad.
Let’s talk through the gameweek before looking forward to my plans for the SH*THOUSE XI in gameweek 7.
Goalkeeper
Gomes (1) – Just the single for the Watford man who has lost his rotating pair; Jakupovic finally loses the number 1 jersey.
Defenders
(C) Robertson (0) – Another captain success as for the 2nd time in a row my captain scores zero, which doubled still makes zero!
Francis (6) – An unexpected clean sheet from Bournemouth thwarted many managers’ new transfers (Lukaku and Bolasie), however at least he didn’t pick up any bonus points!
Lowton (6) – A clean sheet and a booking, but still scored 6! Those pesky bonus points!
Djilobodji (1) – Sunderland were poor again and keep up their abysmal record of not winning in August or September!
Total Defensive Points – 14
Midfielders
Coquelin (1) – Brought in and injured straight away! This is a big blow for the SH*THOUSE XI.
Yacob (1) – One of my favourite SH*THOUSE XI members; consistently picks up rubbish points!
Barry (1) – Thank god he’s stopped scoring! Let’s hope it stays that way.
Strikers
Diomande (1) – Keeping up tradition of playing a third of the game, perfect for this team!
Vokes (2) – Played well versus Watford but failed to make an impression on my score.
Ulloa (0) – No appearance points for Ulloa is a worry considering all of the bench matched him.
The Bench – Jakupovic, Dier, Fernandez and Fellaini all kept the wood warm.
Now onto this week’s SH*THOUSE XI:
Transfer
Ulloa (OUT) -> Zaza (IN) – 2 yellow cards, 3 starts and zero goals or assists. Perfect for this team.
Captain
This week the armband goes to Djilobodji as Sunderland cannot keep a clean sheet!
Good luck, and save those reds for me!
