As one gameweek passes another is soon on the horizon, but before we look at this weeks captaincy analysis, here’s how last weeks picks did:

Now onto this week’s selections:
1. Sergio Aguero (BOU)
With the news that Jesus may be out for more than what was expected, it makes Aguero look much more appealing. He’s scored 8 goals in his last 5 games and will probably add to that tally when they take on a Bournemouth side that crumble when they come up against top quality sides! They conceded 7 goals to both Arsenal and Liverpool this season, and considering Aguero’s form, you certainly have to fancy him against the Cherries!
2. Paul Pogba (SOU)
You probably wouldn’t believe me when I say that Pogba has only blanked once since his return from injury in GW17! In that time he’s scored 8 times and assisted 7 goals, making him the most inform player in the second half of the season. He’s owned by just under half of the FPL population, and has to be considered for captaincy especially considering the fact that along of big teams play each other this week, whilst Man United take on a side who only got their second clean sheet since GW10 last week! (Southampton).
3. Raul Jimenez (CAR)
Wolves are a ridiculously tough side to predict – One week they’re world beaters, comfortably beating tough opposition, like Liverpool, without a problem. And yet other weeks, they lose 1-0 to Huddersfield, a team sitting 16 points inside the relegation places. Despite that though, they take on Cardiff this week, arguably one of the worst sides I’ve seen Everton play this season. Defensively they are all over the place, and if they play like that, I can see Jimenez exploiting that back four like Everton did last week.
Differential – Gerard Deulofeu (LEI)
I’m not sure whether Deulofeu’s 20+ points haul two weeks ago was a blip or not, but he does show glimpses of quality sometimes – The game against Cardiff he was absolutely faultless, tearing the defence apart all game. Liverpool away is a different story, as very few teams will go to Anfield and score, but his next game will determine if it was a ‘one-off’ or not. They take on a Leicester side under new management, a team that have only kept 2 clean sheets in 12 GW’s. Watford have been impeccable when they attack at times, can they spoil Brendan Rodgers managerial debut at Leicester?
Gamble – Mohamed Salah (EVE)
This could have been Kane, but I’m convinced that he is not fully fit. I don’t believe a man can return from ankle ligament damage so quickly, and be expected to play well for 90 minutes every 4 or 5 days. Instead, I’ve opted for Salah. It’s not often that a 5 goal thriller for Liverpool wouldn’t actually see Salah score, or assist, which is possibly a worrying indicator that the 13.5m we’ve all spent may not actually be worth it. He’s only got 1 goal in 5 GW’s now, and he travels to Goodison in the Merseyside Derby, which I really cannot predict. Salah was invisible in the reverse fixture, and typically doesn’t pay as well against teams in the top half of the table, hence why it would be a huge gamble to captain him, especially considering his poor form.
