Before we know it the season is nearly over, with just 3 gameweeks left! Before we consider this week’s captaincy options, here is how last week’s picks did:

Now onto this week’s selections:
1. Mohamed Salah (HUD)
A team desperate to win a title, vs a team already relegated? This surely can only go one way, a Salah haul. The hardest part is trying to decide either Mane or Salah to captain, however I’ve gone for the Egyptian, who has only blanked once in the last 6 GW’s, scoring twice and assisting three times. Huddersfield have only kept two clean sheets since GW13, both to Wolves funnily enough, and with Liverpool now a point behind their rivals, they’ll need to win every single game that remains.
2. Raheem Sterling (BUR)
The game I thought would be the most difficult for Man City was this one, the Burnley game. Burnley’s good run of form has coincided with the return of Tom Heaton, who clearly has made them much more stable at the back, and they’ve proved to everyone that they can be a tricky team to break down, evident in the game against Chelsea. The good news for Man City is that the point against Chelsea means that they are now safe from relegation, and won’t need to defend like that against them. With Sterling in such fine form, providing 31 goals+assists all season, and again with them needing to win every game, I think Sterling might end up on the scoresheet should they play the same as they have done for the last 15 weeks.
3. Gylfi Sigurdsson (CRY)
The best player on the pitch for me against Man United, he was absolutely superb from minute one, in a huge contrast to the week earlier game against Fulham, were he only made 10 passes all game. If you get the Sigurdsson we saw last week, then he’s a bargain against Palace, who typically play worse when they’re at Selhurst. With Everton eager to get 7th place which is more likely than not going to be a Europa League spot, they need to win this game with Watford and Wolves playing each other, and with Sigurdsson in such good form, he can prove to be a differential too, as he’s only owned by 7%!
Differential – Ayoze Perez (BHA)
Don’t think anyone could have predicted that Perez would have got a hat trick this season, however, he’s been in really good form in the last 6 weeks, scoring 6 goals and assisting once, getting two 16+ point hauls in that time. They take on Brighton this week, and as Cardiff play earlier than them, they’re place in the Premier League could remain with a win against Newcastle. Brighton have defended well in the last couple of weeks, so be aware if you do go for Perez!
Gamble – Heung-Min Son (WHU)
Seems strange to put Son as a gamble against West Ham, at home, in a ground they’ve yet to even concede yet, however his form in the last few weeks has been slightly disappointing, especially considering how good he has been in the champions league, netting braces against Man City! He is consistently getting chances too as he’s playing in a more advanced role due to Kane’s injury, but his form of late is too poor for me to recommend him, so it’s a huge gamble to captain him, especially with the likes of Sterling being in better form. They do play West Ham, and if there’s any team that he’d love to score against, it’s this one.
