Differential Picks – FPL Gameweek 11 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Yet again, the player with the lowest ownership pulled it out of the bag for the differential picks in gameweek 10. Following on from Josh Murphy’s gameweek 9 heroics, Watford attacker Gerard Deulofeu scored a brilliant goal as Watford predictably downed Huddersfield last time out. The following players will be looking for something similar this weekend:

ISAAC SUCCESS – £4.5m – TSB: 2.7% – Newcastle (A)

In a second successive start, Isaac Success did the business for Watford at the weekend, scoring towards the end of a 3-0 victory over Huddersfield. Manager Javi Gracia has implied Troy Deeney will miss a third consecutive game with a hamstring injury, leaving Success set to start up top with Deulofeu once against at Newcastle. Success’ underlying stats scream creativity more than goal threat, but at £4.5m, he may be the perfect enabler for a formation switch or to bring back the popular Benjamin Mendy.

ANTHONY MARTIAL – £7.4m – TSB: 6.0% – Bournemouth (A)

After deciding against including Anthony Martial in last week’s picks, he started and scored a great goal for Manchester United at home to Everton. Martial has returned 4 goals and an assist in the last 3 games and appears to have nailed down a regular starting place in his current form, being named United player of the month for October. Martial was dangerous in all areas last weekend, firing off 3 shots on target and attempting 4 assists – he looks a great option in the mid-priced midfield bracket.

RIYAD MAHREZ – £8.6m – TSB: 2.8% – Southampton (H)

After a big move from Leicester City, Riyad Mahrez is finally beginning to show why Pep Guardiola dished out the money. After a 2 goal cameo against Cardiff in gameweek 6, Mahrez has played 90 minutes in 3 of the last 4 league games, scoring twice and assisting thrice over that time. Fantasy managers appear to be coming round to the fact that no Manchester City midfielder is nailed to start, and that to land a haul might require a bit more patience. However, Mahrez’s price point can make a lack of minutes easier to stomach for owners than an expensive Kevin De Bruyne or Raheem Sterling – perhaps the once FPL favourite should finally be given some serious consideration. Mahrez did not start City’s Thursday showdown with Fulham, so looks set to start this gameweek.

ROSS BARKLEY – £5.8m – TSB: 6.0% – Crystal Palace (H)

Ross Barkley has become a huge bandwagon over the past few days, with many FPL managers scrambling for a kindly priced midfielder to replace other misfiring assets. Barkley is in scintillating form, bagging 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 3 appearances, stepping up at the weekend in the absence of one Eden Hazard. Though he appears at risk of rotation, especially with Mateo Kovacic, the fact Barkley was on the bench for Chelsea’s midweek Carabao Cup exploits suggest he will be in the first 11 for the visit of Crystal Palace this weekend.

GYLFI SIGURDSSON – £7.4m – TSB: 7.3% – Brighton (H)

Those who picked Gylfi Sigurdsson over Richarlison at the start of the season will be frustrated to watch Everton’s recent games. After a slow start, Sigurdsson now appears to be Everton’s best attacking option, having scored 5 goals in his last 6 games (more than any other midfielder in the game) and presiding over penalties for the Toffees. Sigurdsson ranks better than each of his team mates in every metric of threat, influence and creativity; if Everton are to break down the recently solid Brighton backline, they will need the Icelandic creator to fire.
Good luck everyone!
