Fantasy Football Potential – Fabricio Agosto Ramirez

Fulham have signed Fabricio Agosto Ramirez from Besiktas on a three year contract, for a fee believed to be around £5 million. Fabri had played a total of 66 games for Beiktas, with 34 of them being last season where he managed to keep 12 clean sheets in the process.

Fabricio Agosto Ramirez started his career at Deportivo, and has been reunited with the goalkeeping coach Jose Sambade Carreira who is now working at Fulham. Between then he had played for various other clubs, but the majority of his time outside of Besiktas has been spent in La Liga, having made 55 appearances in the league.

Here’s what Fabri had to say about his move to Fulham:

“I’m delighted to be at an historic club like Fulham, the oldest club in London. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to be in the Premier League with Fulham.”

Fantasy Premier League Potential (4.5m)

Fabri has been priced at 4.5m, which is the same price as his main competitor, Marcus Bettinelli. That said it is thought that he has been brought in to start and being voted the best goal keeper in the Turkish Super Lig in back to back seasons, it’s hard to see why he would move to warm a bench.

In his 66 games at Besiktas, Fabri managed 25 clean sheets, only conceding 57 goals during this period. This is quite impressive for a potential 4.5m goalkeeper who could play part of a rotating pair in fantasy premier league.

Fulham’s first 5 fixtures aren’t the best, but as eluded to, if he is used in a rotation strategy then he could become a very valuable keeper. Fulham’s first 5 are; Crystal Palace (H), Tottenham (A), Burnley (H), Brighton (A) and Manchester City (A), only two home games, coupled with some tough trips away from home.
