The first blank gameweek of the season is upon us and this is bound to be the first real test for your benches and your future planning. Best of luck & may your arrows be green!

Here is the Gameweek 27 Preview:

Cardiff vs Watford

Cardiff City will be aiming to extend their winning run in the Premier League to three games when they welcome Watford on matchday 27. The Bluebirds have been making progress week by week and in their last home game in the league, the newcomers defeated Bournemouth 2-0, which is surely giving home fans a reason for optimism ahead of Friday’s match. The Hornets sit in the top half of the standings and are undefeated in their previous three games in all competitions. As both teams are in fairly good form, we predict that the two sides are going to share the spoils in Wales this weekend. In the first half of the season, Watford recorded a 3-2 win over Cardiff City.

STAR MAN: Neil Etheridge (4.7m)

The Philippines international is bound to have a busy day in-between the sticks.

PREDICTION: Cardiff 1-1 Watford

West Ham vs Fulham

London Stadium will host Friday’s London derby between West Ham United and Fulham. West Ham head into the match following back-to-back draws against the likes of Liverpool and Crystal Palace and a win over Fulham will see them retain their spot in the top ten in the Premier League standings. The Hammers are eyeing their sixth home win of the season and given Fulham’s poor form, we believe that there is big value in betting on the hosts. The Cottagers do not seem to be competitive at this level as they sit in the penultimate position in the standings ahead of matchday 27.

STAR MAN: Felipe Anderson (7.2m)

His ability to run at defences could trouble the fragile Fulham defence.

PREDICTION: West Ham 3-0 Fulham

Burnley vs Tottenham

Thanks to a 3-1 win over Leicester City, Tottenham managed to keep their hopes of winning the Premier League title alive. Spurs are eyeing their fifth consecutive win in the Premier League and seeing as key attacker Harry Kane is likely to recover in time to face the Clarets, it is no surprise the visitors are considered favourites to win Saturday’s game. South Korean attacker Son looks unstoppable at the moment and we predict that he is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders as well. Burnley, on the other hand, did well to beat Brighton on the road in their last league match, but they will have a much bigger task in front of them against Mauricio Pochettino’s troops. We believe that there is big value in betting on the capital club.

STAR MAN: Heung-min Son (9.0m)

He’s the man Poch looks towards when in need of goals.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-2 Tottenham

Bournemouth vs Wolves

Bournemouth and Wolverhampton square off at the Vitality Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Saturday’s fixture list. The Cherries suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Cardiff City and Liverpool in their previous two league fixtures, but it has to be noted that they are eyeing their third consecutive win in front home fans. In their last home fixture in the Premier League, Eddie Howe’s side outclassed Chelsea 4-0, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the Wolverhampton clash. The Wolves, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs this season, but they sit in the top half of the standings ahead of matchday 27. Anyhow, seeing that Bournemouth are tough to beat at home, we believe that this will end in a draw.

STAR MAN: Raul Jimenez (6.8m)

With 9 goals to his name this season, he is the man to watch.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Wolves

Newcastle vs Huddersfield

Newcastle United were on the verge of beating Wolverhampton on the road in their last league match, but Wolves eventually scored a late equalizer and picked up one point from the game. The Magpies remain in the danger zone in the Premier League standings, but Saturday’s game against Huddersfield Town could be the turning point for Rafa Benitez’s men in their battle for survival. The Terriers are stuck at the bottom of the standings ahead of matchday 27 and considering they suffered a loss in each of their previous four league fixtures, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. Salomon Rondon is likely to lead the line for the Magpies against the Terriers and we believe that the Venezuela international is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. In the reverse fixture, Newcastle recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Huddersfield.

STAR MAN: Salomon Rondon (5.8m)

He will be a tough one to stop.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-0 Huddersfield

Leicester vs Crystal Palace

The King Power Stadium will host Saturday’s game between Leicester City and Crystal Palace, two teams that sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table. The Foxes suffered a dip in form and you should bear in mind that they are on a five game winless run in the league ahead of the visit of Crystal Palace. Leicester City are eager to get back on course and we predict that they are going to fight tooth and nail against the capital club. The Eagles, on the other hand, are only three points clear of the drop zone, meaning that Saturday’s clash is of big importance for them. Anyhow, the two sides seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we believe that they are going to share the spoils.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Zaha (6.7m)

Time to step up for the Londoners.

PREDICTION: Leicester 1-1 Crystal Palace

Arsenal vs Southampton

Arsenal quickly bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Manchester City, with the team beating Huddersfield Town on the road in their last league match. The Gunners, though, need to keep on winning if they are to book their place in the Champions League, therefore, we predict that they are going to stick to their attacking style of play against Southampton. Unai Emery’s troops have been producing much better showings at home than on their travels this season and seeing as key attacker Aubameyang returns to the starting line-up, the home win should be considered. Taking everything into account, we believe that the Gunners are going to record their seventh consecutive home win.

STAR MAN: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (11.1m)

A must win game for the Gunners.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 Southampton

Manchester United vs Liverpool

There will be fireworks when Manchester United and Liverpool take on each other at Old Trafford on matchday 27. The Red Devils recorded eight wins in their previous nine league fixtures and, as a result, they sit in the top four in the Premier League standings. Man Utd recorded a routine 3-0 win at Fulham in their last league fixture and we predict that they are going to find the net in Sunday’s game against Liverpool. Paul Pogba scored a brace in the triumph over Claudio Ranieri’s men, meaning that the opposition defenders should look to keep him at bay. The Reds, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Bournemouth and they managed to get one. Mohamed Salah, who scored his 17th goal of the season in the 3-0 win over the Cherries, will be the man to watch in the away side and we believe that he is going to help the visitors find the net in this Premier League derby.

STAR MAN: Paul Pogba (8.8m)

If Liverpool are to win, Paul is the man they need to stop.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool
