So here we are, the penultimate gameweek of the season which offers a lot of footballing action and enticing fixtures. To help you decide on transfers, line-ups and how best to use those remaining chips (if any), here is our gameweek 37 preview and star men predictions.

Good luck & go win those mini leagues!

Everton vs Burnley

Goodison Park will host Friday’s football game between Everton and Burnley. Everton have been in a splendid form of late, but despite recording four wins in previous six league fixtures, the Toffees are unlikely to book their place in European competitions. The Toffees have been impressive at the back in recent weeks, with the team conceding only two goals in total in previous six league games.Marco Silva’s men aim to record a win in their last home game of the season and we are positive that the hosts will take this match very seriously. The Clarets suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchester City, but seeing that Cardiff were beaten by Fulham at Craven Cottage, they will compete in the Premier League next season. Burnley coach Sean Dyche can breathe easier ahead of the trip to Liverpool, but given Everton’s splendid form, home win should be considered.

STAR MAN: Lucas Digne (5.3m)

The former Barcelona man is bang on form with a goal and an assist, along with 8 clean sheets in the last 10 games. Could you ask for more?

PREDICTION: Everton 1-0 Burnley

Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Tottenham will be looking to cement their spot in the Champions League when they take on Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Spurs suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to West Ham in the local derby at the weekend, but they are definitely capable of grabbing something from the Bournemouth clash. Harry Kane has yet to overcome his injury and in his absence a man to watch in the away team will be Korea international Son. The Cherries head into Saturday’s game following a thrilling 3-3 draw with Southampton.Bournemouth’s Premier League status is not in danger in the season finale, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on Eddie Howe’s troops. In their last meeting at Vitality Stadium in the English top flight Tottenham crushed Bournemouth 4-1 and given the importance of the upcoming clash for the visitors, we are tempted to put our money on Mauro Pochettino’s charges.

STAR MAN: Heung min Son (8.9m)

He’ll certainly be given a run in, before the massive away Champions League clash at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-3 Tottenham

West Ham vs Southampton

West Ham United will be looking to build on a thrilling win over their local rivals Tottenham when they welcome Southampton at their London Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Hammers are stuck in the middle of the Premier League standings, but it is more than obvious that they do not lack motivation in the season finale. Manuel Pellegrini’s troops aim to record a win in their last home game of the season and we are positive that they are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Saturday’s football match. The Saints, on the other hand, managed to secure the Premier League survival, meaning that the lack of motivation could prove to be a big problem for them in the London Stadium clash. The Hammers proved their worth in the 1-0 win over Spurs and they are definitely capable of beating Southampton in front of home fans.

STAR MAN: Michail Antonio (6.8m)

Back under the radar with 2 goals in the last 2 games, and a mere 1.1% ownership.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-1 Southampton

Wolves vs Fulham

Molineux Stadium will host Saturday’s football game between Wolverhampton and Fulham. The Wolves aim to build on back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Watford and they are considered favourites to win the Fulham clash. Mexico international Raul Jimenez has been in a splendid form of late and all eyes will be on him when the two teams face each other in the penultimate game of the season. Wolverhampton have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against the capital club. The Cottagers are on a three-game winning run in the Premier League, with the team keeping a clean sheet in each of those fixtures. Fulham, though, failed to secure the top flight survival and seeing that the Wolves are a real force to be reckoned with at home, away win should not be considered.

STAR MAN: Matt Doherty (5.3m)

Well, if you still haven’t realised his worth, you’re doing FPL wrong.

PREDICTION: Wolves 2-0 Fulham

Cardiff vs Crystal Palace

Cardiff City have no other choice but to go all guns blazing at Crystal Palace as their Premier League status is in great danger. This has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts and we predict that they are going to leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s football match. The Bluebirds, though, have been struggling in front of goal of late and seeing that they failed to score in four of their last five league matches, home win should not be considered. The Eagles, on the other hand, did well to beat Arsenal 3-2 in their last away game in the English elite division and given Cardiff City’s poor form, we predict Roy Hodgson’s men are going to extend their winning run on the road to three games. Taking everything into account, Crystal Palace are more of a team than Cardiff City.

STAR MAN: Luka Milivojevic (6.4m)

4 goals and an assist in the last 6 games. A few more penalties might be just around the corner.

PREDICTION: Cardiff 1-3 Crystal Palace

Newcastle vs Liverpool

As expected, Liverpool outclassed Huddersfield Town 5-0 in their last league fixture, but that did not help them overtake Manchester City in the Premier League standings. The Reds are still one point behind the Citizens in the table, meaning that they face yet another must-win situation against Newcastle United. Jurgen Klopp’s men are eyeing their eighth consecutive win in the national championship and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Rafa Benitez’s troops. The Magpies have been in a fine form in the season finale and, as a result, they secured yet another Premier League survival. Newcastle have little to play for in Saturday’s football game and seeing that the visitors are desperate to keep their hopes of winning the Premier League trophy alive, away win should be considered. Both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah scored twice against the Terriers, meaning that the opposition defenders should have the duo at bay.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (13.3m)

He will need to step up for such tricky away trips. The race for the Golden Boot will be another added motivation.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool

Chelsea vs Watford

After sharing the spoils with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Chelsea will be aiming to return to retain their spot in top four with a win over Watford. This has to go down as a must-win game for the Blues, who are desperate to book their place in the Champions League and we are positive that the hosts will fight tooth and nail against the Hornets.Over the years Watford have established themselves as a mid-table side and they are sitting in 10th position in the standings ahead of the penultimate game of the season. The visitors have little to play for in the Stamford Bridge clash and we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the underdogs. A man to watch in the home team will be Eden Hazard, who will be on Real Madrid’s radar in the summer transfer window.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.9m)

Time to shine at the Bridge for one last time, before a potential Real Madrid bid comes in.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-1 Watford

Huddersfield vs Manchester United

Manchester United have been struggling to find their best form of late. The Red Devils recorded only one win in previous five league fixtures, with the team sharing the spoils with Chelsea at home at the weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are still in the race for a place in the Champions League, but they need to beat Huddersfield on Matchday 37 if they are to secure a top-four finish. The Terriers are stuck at the bottom of the Premier League standings and, as a result, they will compete in the Championship next term. Huddersfield Town want to give fans some cheer in their last home game of the season, but seeing that Sunday’s football match is of big importance for the visitors, we are tempted to put our money on the Old Trafford outfit, who are determined to represent England in the elite competition next season.

STAR MAN: Paul Pogba (8.5m)

The onus will be on the Frenchman to get the 6 points from the remaining 2 games. High time he delivers.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield 0-2 Manchester United

Arsenal vs Brighton

After suffering three consecutive defeats in the Premier League, Arsenal will be aiming to give fans some cheer when they welcome Brighton at their Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Gunners are eyeing a place in the Champions League and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Seagulls in their penultimate game of the season.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to impress in a 3-0 loss to Leicester City, but the opposition defenders should have the Gabon international at bay. Brighton, on the other hand, are desperate to secure the Premier League survival, but seeing that they are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on the capital club. In their last meeting at Emirates Stadium Arsenal recorded a 2-0 win over Brighton and we are positive that the history is going to repeat itself.

STAR MAN: Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (10.8m)

With the golden boot in touching distance, he will certainly have an eye for goal.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 Brighton

Manchester City vs Leicester

Thanks to Kun Aguero’s goal Manchester City recorded a very important win over Burnley at Turf Moor. The Citizens extended their winning run in the Premier League to twelve games, but coach Pep Guardiola must warn his men against complacency as Leicester City impressed in a 3-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend. Pep Guardiola’s troops are still only one point clear of Liverpool in the Premier League standings, meaning that they face a must-win situation against the Foxes.Leicester City recorded five wins in previous seven league fixtures, but seeing that the Citizens have been impressive at their Etihad Stadium in the 2018/2019 season, we are positive that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. Jamie Vardy impressed in the 3-0 victory over Arsenal in their last league clash, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.9m)

Delivered in each of the last 5 home games. Time to back him yet again?

PREDICTION: Manchester City 3-1 Leicester
