Fantasy Premier League Preview – Gameweek 4 – FPL Tips

After a relatively high scoring gameweek 3, the FPL tables are wide open and the differences in points between managers are small. Even small decisions could lead to a huge rise in rank.

Leicester vs Liverpool

Both these teams are on the back of a victory in their last gameweek. Liverpool at the moment are top of the table and don’t seem to be putting a foot wrong. The Foxes on the other hand have managed to comeback from a disappointing away loss in their first game at Old Trafford. The reds are the only team in the league yet to concede a goal this season and the Foxes will have to give it their all to breach this defence.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (9.5m)

Has been kept quiet in the first three games and will be looking to get on the scoresheet this time around.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-3 Liverpool

Brighton vs Fulham

Brighton had shown great resilience in defence last season and will be looking to do the same this time around. They do have a good record at home and were victors last time, beating the Red Devils 3-2. Fulham – recently promoted – will find it difficult to break down this Brighton defence and might concede to their wide attacking threats.

STAR MAN: Anthony Knockaert (5.5m)

Another player in this squad with tremendous potential will not get a better chance than this to explode onto the scene.

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-0 Fulham

Chelsea vs Bournemouth

Chelsea are defensively a little fragile but make up for this with their attack, scoring eight goals in their first three games and winning all  three games. Sarri’s men seem to be on a roll. Bournemouth are also on cloud nine at the moment, undefeated and looking to play their way of football, but a win at the Bridge seems to be a task too much for the Cherries.

STAR MAN: Pedro (6.7m)

An absolute bargain at this price for the performances he’s put in in the first three games. Key player in that Chelsea attack.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace vs Southampton

The Eagles, currently in tenth place, did seem to start off the season confidently but have dipped in form ever since. Playing at home sure does give them that extra edge though and Southampton have a poor away form and might fail to cope with the pace of that Palace attack.

STAR MAN: Andros Townsend (5.9m)

Had a poor game last week and hasn’t contributed to the team in terms of goals or assists this season. He will be looking to silence his critics with a worthy performance.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 3-1 Southampton

Everton vs Huddersfield

The Toffees seem to be finding their rhythm under their new manager Marco Silva, having not lost a game yet and scoring freely. They surely will miss their star man Richarlison but do have players to cover up that position. Huddersfield will find it difficult to cope with the attacking threat from Everton and will be looking to sit back and defend in this fixture. Certainly seems like one way traffic in this game.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.4m)

Kept quiet in the first three games, he is the heart of this midfield and will be looking to contribute and help his team to victory in this game.

PREDICTION: Everton 2-0 Huddersfield

West Ham vs Wolves

The Hammers sit at the very bottom of the league table, not having got a result in any of their last 3 games. Wolves on the contrary kept the Champions at bay last time out, and squeezed out an unexpected point. The Hammers will surely need to hit the ground running from now on, if they are to have hopes of finishing in the top half of the table.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (7.0m)

His presence up-front surely makes the Hammers more dynamic & threatening.

PREDICTION: West Ham 3-2 Wolves

Manchester City vs Newcastle

The Citizens have indeed picked up from where they left off and have begun the season on the front foot, barring a resilient Wolves defensive unit last time out. This week they’re up against the Magpies at the Etihad, a fond favourite of their talisman Sergio Aguero.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.3m)

You NEED to have this man in your team this gameweek.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 4-0 Newcastle

Cardiff vs Arsenal

The Bluebirds have started the new Premier League campaign with not even a single goal in the first 3 games. Emery’s Arsenal side on the contrary are in dire need of points after having played 2 London derbies in the opening 3. We can surely see goals in this one, but with only one side doing the bits.

STAR MAN: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (7.1m)

In the absence of Ozil, he is bound to be their creative spark in midfield.

PREDICTION: Cardiff 0-3 Arsenal

Burnley vs Manchester United

United come into this fixture on the back of an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham at Old Trafford. Jose indeed needs to bounce back & get a result to get that “respect” he demands back.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (10.2m)

United will need this guy up & running to cause problems for that resilient Clarets defence.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-2 Manchester United

Watford vs Tottenham

For the last game of the gameweek, we have a match up at the very top of the table, with both  Spurs & the Hornets getting the results they craved in the opening 3 games. We can indeed see an end to end game with both sides getting a fair number of chances to take home the points.

STAR MAN: Lucas Moura (7.1m)

A star at Old Trafford, but will lightning strike twice?

PREDICTION: Watford 1-1 Tottenham
