Gameweek 27 Sky Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

We’re finally onto the homestretch of the season with the Overhaul behind us. The past 2 gameweeks were hectic with the 10 matches containing 7 captain days! It’s good to be back to your typical gameweek but there’s plenty of players to look over since the overhaul.

Goalkeepers

It was a good week for keepers and defenders with 6 clean sheets kept. 4/6 came from the ‘big six’ so it was a week for the premiums. Reina £6.3m saved a pen and was MOTM against Spurs, otherwise there were no standouts.

Defenders

Maguire bagged his first Premier League goal for the Red Devils against Chelsea. It was also United’s second clean sheet in a row. Wan-Bissaka returned his second 12 pointer in a row with a brilliant assist and MOTM. Evans ended a run of 4 blanks in a row with a clean sweep of MOTM, passing bonus and a CS. Mustafi has now returned for 3 weeks on the trot. Himself and Luiz both racked up 70+ passes and a CS. Teammate Bellerin £8.3m hit passing bonus this week. van Dijk also returned his usual 10 pointer.

Otto £7.7m hit back to back tackle tier 2 bonus along with Wolves 2 clean sheets. Their upcoming run is strong too. The budget option Dan Burn returned from injury early, so he’s a potential enabler down the line. Williams is continuing to start games and he’s in the same price bracket as the former.

Midfielders

Mr Consistent, De Bruyne bagged a huge return on Wednesday night against West Ham. He ran the show with 70+ passes, 2 SoT, a goal, an assist and MOTM. Teammate Rodri racked up a record 178 passes and scored his first goal at the Etihad for an 11 pointer. Pepe returned for the first time since New Year’s Day with a goal and assist against Newcastle. Richarlison went big on the first day after the overhaul. He scored and assisted and picked up his 3rd MOTM for a 17 pointer. Fixtures are tough on paper but he’s Everton’s main attacking outlet. Doucouré, Ozil, Bernard and Lundstram all hit the back of the net. Henderson bagged yet another attacking return and made Tier 1 passing, but he’s now out for 3 weeks.

Forwards

Calvert-Lewin has been ticking over in recent weeks and he hit double figures for the third time this season. A goal and an assist against Palace is making him very good value. Son braced against Villa but missed a pen. He could’ve had a lot more but he also picked up a long term injury. Lacazette scored and assisted off the bench for Arsenal and Aubameyang also got on the scoresheet.

Captains:

Saturday – Man City assets look the best option away to Leicester but as the games’ at 5:30pm and with games coming thick and fast, there comes a risk. KDB looks the safest choice, while Aguero is always an explosive option. Ings at home to the league’s worst defence is a good option but not as appealing with Mings now back. Sheffield UTD defenders are also a decent pick

Sunday – Wolves assets such as Jimenez would be my favourite option. Fernandes against Watford is also a good choice if you own him. Aubameyang in the late kick off is also a good pick but he doesn’t seem to be explosive this season.

Monday – A Liverpool attacker or defender? VVD or Salah for me. It’s whether you want to risk an attacker explosion or go safe with the steady flow of defensive points. Mané is also a differential option.
