Gameweek 6 Captaincy Analysis – Fantasy Football Tips

Gameweek 5 saw our captaincy tips score an average of 8.8 points, which Son (16) and Aubameyang (13) being 2 of the 5 tipped to score big last week. Before we know it we are looking at gameweek 6, but before we look at this weeks picks, here’s how last weeks picks did:

1. Raheem Sterling – 2 points
2. Mohamed Salah – 9 points
3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 13 points
Differential – Heung-Min Son – 16 points
Gamble – Richarlison – 4 points

Fingers crossed for better returns this week, here’s our top picks for gameweek 6:

1.  Sergio Aguero (WAT)

What a start Aguero has made to this season, he literally hasn’t blanked yet and currently averages a goal every 55 minutes. He’s scored 7 times and assisted once in the 5 games this season, and they take on a Watford side who have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. With his form and Watford’s horrific start to the season, and combined with the fact that Pep will be desperate to get a win after last week’s shock loss to Norwich, I can only see Aguero getting on the scoresheet, again!

2. Teemu Pukki (BUR)

What a result that was for Norwich last week! They were tremendous even despite having several injured defenders, and Pukki was one of their star players in the game, tearing their defence apart alongside Buendia and Cantwell. He too has had a brilliant start to the season, scoring 6 so far and assisting twice. They take on Burnley this week, who have only keep the one clean sheet this season, but with the way Norwich have been when attacking, you’ve got to back Pukki to continue his form this weekend!

3. Richarlison (SHU)

Didn’t start the season well, however Richarlison has been in really good form in the last two weeks, scoring twice and assisting once, and was desperately unlucky not to score a brilliant goal last week against Bournemouth. He’s been by far Everton’s best player these last few weeks, and they’re seemingly a different team when they play at home, which is good as they play Sheffield United at Goodison Park in GW6. Little bit risky, but if anyone will score for Everton at the moment, it’s him.

Differential – Heung-Min Son (LEI)

I’m a huge fan of Son, and despite his suspension at the start of the season, I was really surprised to see that his ownership prior to GW5 was only 2.8%. It’s raised slightly now to 5%, but that’s a huge differential for someone so good. They take on Leicester who have only kept one clean sheet all season, and if Spurs play like they did against Palace, tearing their defence apart with ease, captaining Son could be a fantastic differential option. He’s scored twice and assisted once in the last two weeks, and if you can fit him into your side, he’s definitely a player I’d recommend to captain!

Gamble – Mohamed Salah (CHE)

Not often that Salah can be considered a gamble, but there’s a few reasons behind it. Despite starting the season with 4 goals and 2 assists, he could have had so many more, and was largely invisible for most of the game against Newcastle. Secondly they played Napoli mid-week, and struggled to break them down all game. Salah had a tough night, and again failed to make an impact for most of the game. They take on Chelsea this week, which usually produces goals when these two sides meet, and with Chelsea so poor at the back this season, I think Liverpool will score, but it’s so hard to predict which Liverpool attacker will get the goals!

That was our analysis of some of the key captaincy options, I hope you enjoyed it. Best of luck this week folks!
