This article will highlight 5 differentials (under 5% ownership) across a variety of positions to help push managers up the ranks over the coming gameweeks starting in gameweek 25.
Chris Basham (£4.5m) – Sheffield United – 0.8% TSB
Sheffield United have one of the best defensive records in the league and in gameweek 25 the travel to Crystal Palace who average less than a goal per game. Also, the Sheffield United fixtures until gameweek 31 are very favourable so it is worth owning at least one of them if not doubling up. These fixtures include Bournemouth and Norwich at home. Egan is also a £4.5m defender for Sheffield United owned by 1.2%. The points between them will be very minimal and depends on a very rare attacking return.
Jamaal Lascelles (£4.2m) – Newcastle – 2.6% TSB
Newcastle are a side who don’t score many goals and so have to defend well. In gameweek 25 they host Norwich who are bottom of the table and struggling for form. Their on going fixtures are also very good with only one “red” fixture between gameweek 25 and 33. If you are looking for more of a differential with a higher attacking potential, Ritchie at £5.3m owner by just 0.2% of managers plays as a wing back and is on a large number of set pieces and usually penalties.
John Fleck (£6.0m) – Sheffield United – 4.9% TSB
In gameweek 25 Sheffield United travel to a below par Crystal Palace side. This is then followed by Bournemouth, Brighton, Villa, Norwich and Newcastle. Some of the best fixtures possible. Fleck seems to be the main goal threat in the Sheffield United midfield and probably attack overall. He is very easy to get in and can help managers afford more of the big hitters going forward.
Callum Wilson (£7.4m) – Bournemouth – 4.8% TSB
With his first shot since gameweek 8 he returned a goal as Bournemouth looked to turn a corner on their poor form. In gameweek 25 Bournemouth host Aston Villa who have been very poor defensively conceding almost 2 goals per game on average. This should give good opportunity for Wilson to return back to his scoring ways. With just one goal in a 3-1 win he returned 2 bonus points showing even a small return will likely be increased with bonus points.
Gerard Deulefeu (£6.1m) – Watford – 2.9% TSB
In gameweek 25 Watford host Everton as they look to return to winning ways after a shock defeat to Villa. Deulefeu always looks one of Watford’s most creative and lively players. Everton have conceded 1.5 goals per game this season and so Watford are likely to get chances in this game. The following 2 games come against Brighton and Manchester United who haven’t been defensively solid either so there is room to keep Deulefeu for longer than gameweek 25.
Thank you all for reading! I hope it was helpful and I will be back again next week with the same article.
