Gameweek 3 Differentials – Fantasy Football Tips

This article will look at 5 players selected by under 5% of fantasy premier league managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 3. These could be considered a one week punt to push managers up the overall rankings.

Moise Kean (£6.9m) – Everton – 4.9% TSB

Everton are playing away at Aston Villa on Friday evening in the first game of the gameweek. Kean was brought in late over the summer and was not able to start the first two gameweeks for Everton. However, having scored just 1 goal in their opening 2 games Marco Silva may well choose to start the Italian striker rather than Calvert Lewin who has struggled in front of goal. With the likes of Digne, Richarlison and Siggurdson in the team the Everton striker should get several chances during the game.

Gerard Deulofeu (£6.4m) – Watford – 4.2% TSB

Watford play West Ham at home in gameweek 3 who have already conceded 5 goals this season including 4 against Manchester City in gameweek 1. Watford had an attack that was lethal at the end of last season, but it hasn’t got going quite yet leading to low ownership. Deulofeu scored 10 goals and 5 assists in 30 matches, playing 5 of these on the wing. After an average start to the season, this gameweek could easily be the one where Deulofeu finds his form. With Deeney now injured for several months, Deulofeu will now become their main goal threat.

Daniel James (£6.0m) – Manchester United – 2.6% TSB

This weekend Manchester United host Crystal Palace who have looked very poor so far and are yet to score this season. James came off the bench in gameweek 1 to score against Chelsea and so earned his place in the starting line-up in gameweek 2 against Wolves where he scored 1 point. However, with the below par performances of Lingaard he is surely going to retain his place and his pace and will likely be too much for the Palace defence to handle. At only £6.0m, he offers by far the most budget friendly route into the Manchester United attack compared to the likes of Martial and Rashford at over £7.5m.

Danny Ings (£6.0m) – Southampton – 2.1% TSB

Southampton travel to Brighton for gameweek 3. Ings blanked in gameweek 1 as Southampton struggled in a 3-0 loss to Burnley. In gameweek 2 he was benched as they favoured a second CDM when hosting Liverpool, but he did come on and score a fortunate late consolation goal. He is more than likely going to return to lead the line and Southampton are due a strong performance. In the Premier League last season he scored 7 goals and 3 assists in 24 games, but looked strong when not hit with injury.

Emerson (£5.5m) – Chelsea – 2.0% TSB

Chelsea travel to Norwich in gameweek 3 having picked up just 1 point from Manchester United and Leicester. Emerson has looked one of the most attacking and creative players in Chelsea’s team and out of any of the FPL defenders. As well as this Rudiger is back training with Chelsea which should help their defensive solidarity and increase their chances of a clean sheet. Emerson has hit the woodwork and come close on numerous occasions already this season and so an attacking return seems imminent.

Thanks for reading and good luck in gameweek 3!
