FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 13 – FPL Tips

It was a red arrow in gameweek 12 but only a minor one with a score of 59 points. I sit just outside the top 300k after an 18k drop. It was ideal that Heaton didn’t play leaving me with 10 men. Also benching the highest scoring defender Soyuncu didn’t help.

With no Heaton and no Bournemouth or Sheffield United clean sheet, Robertson was the only player to not blank with an assist at home to Man City.

It was a bad week in the midfield. Both Sterling and KDB blanked for the second week running at Anfield. Mount was fit to start but only returned a clean sheet point. McGinn also blanked on Sunday against Wolves. The shining light came from new signing Martial who assist twice for a 10 pointer at home to Brighton. The sale of Salah over Sterling backfired initially with the Red scoring.

Abraham scored for the second week running and he’s now owned by over 50% of managers. The second new signing Vardy was given the armband and did he deliver! He scored, assisted and took home maximum bonus. It’s great when both new signings return straight away.

Transfer: None. I might do a mini wildcard involving at least 1 of my City mids with 2FTs next week.

The fixture looks good for Heaton and he’s back fit but he’s been a frustrating hold this season. Rico faces Wolves at home and the Bournemouth defence has been a strange hold as it’s hard to predict their clean sheets. Soyuncu isn’t staying on the bench this week against Brighton, he replaces Lundstram. Robertson is a major doubt for the Palace trip. If he doesn’t play, Rico will start at home to Wolves.

McGinn is at home to Newcastle and if he fails to deliver I’ll be looking at other options. KDB, Mount and Sterling all face each other. These 3 all haven’t been returning as much as they’d like, so this performance will be important. Martial’s travels to Sheffield Utd who are tight at the back, so I’m not expecting too much.

Abraham travels to City which is tough on paper but I can easily see him score. Vardy travels to Brighton and it feels like he can score against anyone at the moment. They’ve also got a couple of injuries in defence.

Captain: Vardy keeps the armband away to Brighton. It wasn’t a straightforward choice but The Foxes are the team in form.
