Gameweek 11 is nearly upon us and as you ponder what changes to make to your fantasy football team, here’s our Fantasy Premier League preview, star men and predictions for the weekend…
Bournemouth vs Manchester United
Bournemouth host Manchester United in the opening fixture of gameweek 11, a fixture that sees both teams level on points. United will want to continue their recent turn of form and push for that top 4.
Star Man – Marcus Rashford (£8.5m)
The man in form, he will be key if United are to come away with a victory.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester United
Arsenal vs Wolves
Arsenal have struggled for form of late, with a draw against Crystal Palace and a loss against Sheffield United in their last two Premier League fixtures. This week they host Wolves who themselves haven’t been in the best of form, but this could be a tight game.
Star Man – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.1m)
Arsenal’s forward has struggled for goals of late, maybe this is his week.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 Wolves
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
Villa host top of the league Liverpool this gameweek which is likely to be a tough encounter for Villa, whilst Liverpool will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run. After tough fixtures against Manchester United and Tottenham
Star Man – Mohamed Salah (£12.4m)
Salah has had a slow start to the season by his standards, but could see goals this weekend.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-4 Liverpool
Brighton vs Norwich
Both teams will want to pick up a win here, with Norwich sitting in the relegation zone, win-less in their last five fixtures. Brighton however have performed well of late with two victory’s in their last three, whilst they still only sit 5 points ahead of Norwich. This could be a close one!
Star Man – Teemu Pukki (£6.9m)
After a brilliant start, Pukki will want to get back to goal scoring ways.
Prediction: Brighton 2-2 Norwich
Manchester City vs Southampton
After conceding 9 against Leicester Southampton will be looking to get back on the straight and narrow, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen this week with a visit to the Etihad. City on the other hand will be relishing this fixture and will keep the pressure on Liverpool.
Star Man – Raheem Sterling (£12.1m)
With a rest midweek Sterling will raring you go.
Prediction Southampton 0-4 Manchester City
Sheffield United vs Burnley
Sitting in 8th, Sheffield United will be happy with their start to their Premier League campaign, whilst Burnley are 1 point behind sitting in 13th. Both will want to come away with the victory and this could be a close one!
Star Man – Dean Henderson (£4.7m)
Has been in great form for the Blades and he will be needed to keep Burnley our this week.
Prediction: Sheffield United 0-0 Burnley
West Ham vs Newcastle
Last season the Hammers won both games against Newcastle and this gameweek they host the Magpies. This season they’ve been quietly going about their business with them sitting mid table. Newcastle on the other hand have struggled for form, sitting just above the relegation zone and will need to start scoring if they are going to survive this season.
Star Man -Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.0m)
The Hammers’ new singing this summer looked good last week and he will want to build on this.
Prediction: West Ham 3-1 Newcastle
Watford vs Chelsea
Watford host Chelsea in the late kick off on Sunday, a game which will be tough for the Hornets. The young Chelsea side have been in great form of late, unbeaten in their last 4 and it’s unlikely to change this week against Watford who are sitting at the bottom of the table.
Star Man – Tammy Abraham (£78m)
This fixture should see goals!
Prediction Watford 1-4 Chelsea
Crystal Palace vs Leicester
Palace and Leicester go head to head after somewhat contrasting fixtures last week. Palace managed a draw at Arsenal, whilst Leicester were rampant at Southampton, so who knows what’s going to happen here!
Star Man – Jamie Vardy (£9.3m)
Time for another Vardy party?
Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-4 Leicester City
Everton vs Tottenham
Spurs are out of form of late with no win in their last 3 which has seen them drop to 11th place in the table. The Toffees won last week, but prior to that they hadn’t won in their last 4. This could be a tough battle at Goodison between two team not in the best of form.
Star Man: Harry Kane (£10.8m)
Spurs may not be in the best of form, but you can alway bank on Kane to find the back of the net.
Prediction – Everton 1-2 Tottenham
