Gameweek 15 Review – FPL Tips

Gameweek 15 saw midweek Premier League fixtures, catching some fantasy managers out with the unusual deadline. Leicester, Chelsea and Manchester City continued to try keep pace with Liverpool with wins, whilst Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford didn’t quite go to plan. Liverpool hammered Everton 5-2, marking the end of Marco Silva’s reign as Everton manager, whilst the pressure is still on Arsenal after a defeat to Brighton at home!

Anyway, without further ado, here’s our Dreamteam review:

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka – Newcastle kept their fourth clean sheet of the season with a 0-2 victory over Sheffield United, with Newcastle’s shot stopper finding a place in this week’s dreamteam. 6 saves, 2 bonus points and the clean sheet earned just 1.1% of FPL managers a total of 10 points.

Defenders

Javier Manquillo – Another Newcastle player in defence! Manquillo not only managed to keep a clean sheet, but also provided an assist for the first goal, which was also Saint-Maximin’s first goal for the club.

Jonny Evans – Leicester now have 7 clean sheets this season, with 5 of those coming in the last 6 games! Evans is priced at just £5.1m showing the value he can provide, whilst this gameweek he also managed to pick up an assist in the Foxes 2-0 victory over the Hornets.

Diego Rico – Bournemouth may have lost 1-0 against Palace, but Rico came off with 63 minutes played and the game at 0-0. This meant Rico kept his clean sheet and picked up 3 bonus points also!

Midfielders

Saido Mane – This week’s top scorer, Saido Mane picked up 15 points after a goals and two assists in the Merseyside Derby. Surprisingly, Mane was the only player priced over £10.0m to score more than 3 points!

Leander Dendoncker – Owned by 9.6% of FPL managers and priced at just £4.4m, Dendoncker managed to find the back of the net this week for Wolves as they came away with a 2-0 victory over West Ham.

Jeffrey Schlupp – The Palace midfielder only played 61 minutes, but that was enough for him to find a place in the gameweek 15 deamteam. After scoring the only goal of the game, Schlupp secured 2 bonus points and the 0.2% of FPL managers a total of 10 points.

James Maddison – Leicester continued their terrific form with another win, this time against Watford. Maddison scored in the last few minutes of the game, which surprisingly earned the midfielder a spot in the dreamteam too with 10 points.

Forwards

Divock Origi – Salah may have been benched against Everton, but Origi certainly performed in his spot. Origi managed to score an impressive brace in the 5-2 victory over local rivals, Everton. Owned by just 2.6% of fantasy managers, Origi was a massive differential this week, but one probably not to bring in with Salah due to return soon!

Marcus Rashford – Mourinho returned to Old Trafford and it didn’t go to plan with Rashford scoring twice, either side of Dele Alli’s goal, securing a 2-1 victory. This performance earned the Englishman 3 bonus points and a total of 13 points.

Gabriel Jesus – Sergio Aguero may be out injured and those 3.5% of fantasy managers who brought Jesus into their teams were rewarded as the Brazilian picked up a brace against Burnley in their 1-4 victory.
