Differentials XI – Gameweek 34

As with anything in life you need a bit of luck and FPL is no different. However, unfortunately for us we just don’t seem to be getting any of that at the moment and it’s not looking great as we head towards the end of the season, so here is what happened:

Differentials

After sitting down to watch MOTD at the weekend it became clear to me that nothing was going to go our way in these final few gameweeks. First things first, new boy David Nugent was nailed on for a start in Leicester’s tie against Swansea; however he got injured in the warm up and now looks set to miss out on gameweek 34. Elsewhere, our two other transfers Aaron Lennon and Glenn Murray both had opportunities for points squandered. Lennon won a penalty for his side but fellow countryman Ross Barkley (that’s right, not Leighton Baines, the man who has missed only one penalty) stepped up and had the spot kick saved, meaning no assist for our new acquisition. To make matters worse the league’s most in-form striker at the time and our captain, Murray, managed to miss the ball completely during a headed chance – from all of 6 yards out!

So as we’ve established things haven’t exactly gone our way, a few alterations are needed to solidify our double gameweek 34 team so here they are:

IN: VARDY / OUT: NUGENT: So with Nugent’s unfortunate injury it is crucial that we replace him with another gameweek player, simple enough. In comes his teammate Jamie Vardy.

IN: INGS / OUT: AGBONLAHOR: Another injury forces our hand again and this time it’s the Aston Villa forward who makes way. Despite there being a double gameweek at hand Danny Ings provides good long term potential, especially as his side battle to stay up.

IN: REMY / OUT: MURRAY: With Murray’s ownership percentage rising to 5.1% we had no choice but to remove him from the side. Injury doubt Remy comes in but at this stage, the double gameweeker is worth the risk. The odds for both games see Chelsea as the favoured team, and hopefully Remy’s goals can seal any bet wins.

Here’s the side for double gameweek 34:

Differentials

Starting XI: Davis (2.1%), Schlupp (1.7%), Dann (2.0%), Zouma (1.1%), Phillips (0.9%), Lennon (1.0%), Mahrez (0.3%), Mane (2.1%), Ings (4.8%), Remy (3.4%), Vardy (3.3%).

Bench: Ospina (2.6%), Vertonghen (2.0%), Nasri (1.8%), Lescott (3.7%).

Three transfers this week in the hope of picking up some valuable double gameweek points, so we really need some big scorers this week to help give us some green arrows. Our captain’s armband goes to Vardy this week, especially as Remy is a doubt for at least one of the games.

Our midfield looks a lot better after the previous week’s transfers and the defence is as unpredictable as ever so all we can do is hope!

A huge gameweek this week, so good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
