WoofBet Bloggers of the Month – Week 4

So here we are… The final week of the Woofbet Bloggers of the Month tournament! Realistically, we are hoping for a mid table finish, whereas FPLAvids does have a bit of a better chance to get into the top 3. With Avids sitting in 7th and us in 12th we will both be looking for some final big scores.

So down to the business, as per usual, here is the FPL Updates line-up:

Woofbet

Defence

Our Saints defenders let us down last week, conceding two goals against Stoke City. However, we have kept our faith in the two of them and started both Davis and Bertrand again this week, hopefully meaning that they will re-pay our faith in them. Alongside them we start Schlupp, who plays against Burnley this week, and Moreno who we brought in this week, as Liverpool face West Brom.

Midfielders

In the middle of the park, we start an unchanged five of; Hazard, Sigurdsson, Silva, Sterling and Bolasie. Hazard just needs to continue his form, however it won’t have much impact on the ranks as the majority of the league have him in their teams. If the likes of Sigurdsson, Sterling and Bolasie score big then we could definitely see a good rise in the ranks, hence why we have taken the risk with giving Sterling the captain’s armband this week. West Brom are more or less safe from relegation and with Liverpool wanting to bounce back after their FA Cup defeat, what better opportunity than against a West Brom team capable of leaking goals. Finally we have also started Silva who did take a knock last week, however he has resumed training and hopefully he will start the game against Villa.

Strikers

Up top we start the usual suspects in Kane and Aguero. If Tottenham are to score against Southampton, then it better be Super Harry Kane as we will have two Southampton clean sheets on the line! Meanwhile Aguero and Manchester City are facing Aston Villa at the Etihad this week, which could mean goals or will it be another classy Sherwood performance? Only time will tell!

So over to Avids and his team:

Avids

So after gameweek 33 we are back up to 7th, our second highest position in the tournament so far. In WooFBet, double gameweek games are not included so we don’t have to worry about that extra pressure. With my transfer of Aguero last week paying off , I have an outside chance of reaching the payout positions being 6 points off.

Defence

In between the sticks this week is Fabianski away to Newcastle. Across the backline we have Terry, Bertrand & Moreno. I see Mourinho going to the Emirates for a scoreless draw and that’s why Terry starts. Bertrand at home to Spurs and Moreno away to West Brom offer slight chance of clean sheets but I’m not overly hopeful. Myhill, Lescott & Rose take the defensive bench places. Liverpool & Southampton will likely score against them so pretty self-explanatory.

Midfielders

In midfield we have the ever present Hazard, Sigurdsson & Silva while this week’s transfer sees me transfer in Yaya Toure for Eriksen. Despite scoring last gameweek I don’t see Eriksen repeating the feat. I believe City will be fighting for 2nd in the league and will go all out against a drained Villa side after the cup fanatics! Bolasie remains on the bench.

Strikers

Up top we have Aguero, Kane and Berahino again. Kane can always bag a goal similar to Aguero really. I feel Berahino will be looking to impress against Liverpool who are reportedly interested in signing the player.

On a little side note FPLAvids has started an Instagram account this week and has nearly reached 1,000 followers already. Thank you for all the support, if you’re not then do get following our Instagram accounts:
