FPL Gameweek 36 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The plethora of Premier League fixtures continues as we enter the second of three double gameweeks in the space of 4! They are coming in quick succession & that means nothing but MORE & MORE POINTS. The 36th gameweek of the season offers some peppy fixtures with potentially huge investment options.

So good luck & may your arrows be green!

West Ham vs Tottenham

West Ham United have drawn their last 3 consecutive fixtures and will be looking to reach that 40 point mark and confirm safety. On the other hand, Spurs will be looking to continue their title charge and take all three points from this game.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (11.6m)

Still in pursuit of the golden boot and leading the line for the Spurs team, Kane will be looking to strike again for his team.

PREDICTION: West Ham 0-2 Tottenham

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Manchester City would have been disappointed after getting just the one point away from home at Middlesbrough that now has them right in the thick of the race for the top four. With United and Arsenal looming behind them, they will be looking to confirm that place soon by winning their upcoming games.

STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (8.7m)

Having scored the vital leveller in his previous game, he will be looking to extend his goal tally for the season and help his team in the race for the top four in the potential absence of Aguero.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 3-1 Crystal Palace

Bournemouth vs Stoke

Bournemouth are pretty much safe and sound in the top flight for next season after breaching the 40 point mark with a win away over Sunderland last weekend. Stoke have been on a disappointing run with just one win in eight and will definitely be looking to put up a fight against the determined Cherries.

STAR MAN: Joshua King (6.2m)

With a goal in each of his last two games, he will be the key man for the Cherries with his crucial runs inside the box.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Stoke

Burnley vs West Brom

Burnley might be safe already but the manager has asserted the fact that they cannot rest unless they breach the forty point mark and what better occasion to do it than at home against a Baggies team that have failed to win their last five fixtures and haven’t managed to score in any of those games either.

STAR MAN: Andre Gray (6.0m)

Scored that crucial goal that guaranteed them victory away at Selhurst off the bench and will be looking to be selected to start at home and prove his abilities.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-1 West Brom

Hull vs Sunderland

Hull City might not have a better chance to pick up three points at home than this game against a Sunderland side that have already been relegated from the Premier League and are just playing for their pride. A win for the Tigers will take them to 37 points, just three points from the 40 mark. What more motivation do they need to go all guns blazing?

STAR MAN: Lazar Markovic (5.2m)

Really smart movement off the ball and often gets himself into scoring positions, he will be key to motoring through that Sunderland defence.

PREDICTION: Hull 2-0 Sunderland

Leicester vs Watford

Leicester have been great at home under the management of Shakespeare, having won their previous four home games. This week, they are up against a Watford team that have really struggled away from home this season. Although the Hornets will be fired up to give it their all, a Foxes win seems like the most probable result.

STAR MAN: Riyad Mahrez (8.9m)

All eyes will be on Vardy but Mahrez certainly has the capability to steal the show by weaving through the Watford defence. He showed some form last weekend and is certainly due a goal or two.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-1 Watford

Swansea vs Everton

The free flowing Toffees side were finally brought to halt last time out at home against the league leaders while on the other hand, Swansea are trying to escape the relegation scrap, having taken 4 points from the last 2 games, including a draw against Jose’s resilient United side. From now on, each of Swansea’s games are a do or die situation and with Everton not having an overly impressive away record, this could be the perfect time to get the much needed result.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.4m)

The Icelandic midfielder finally delivered last time out against United with a delightful free kick & if the Swans are to yet again have a shot at this game, he will definitely have to be at the heart of everything.

PREDICTION: Swansea 2-1 Everton

Liverpool vs Southampton

Given the way the results went in the last gameweek, Liverpool got the much needed result against Watford thanks to an Emre Can overhead kick and now they are comfortably placed 3rd on the table with a 3 point gap between them and City. Southampton on the contrary have been miserable lately to the extent that they were booed by their own fans last time out. With the home crowd behind the Reds, it seems like they’ll be picking up the result.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (8.7m)

With Coutinho potentially facing a spell on the sidelines, this seems to be the perfect week for Firmino to step up.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-0 Southampton

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Super Sunday ends with a bang, with the Red Devils travelling to the home of the side that is breathing down their necks, Arsenal. The Gunners are on the back of a humiliating defeat against their North London rivals Tottenham and will be looking to come back with a bang but with the performances Jose’s United are used to giving away from home, this fixture could be going United’s way.

STAR MAN: Anthony Martial (9.2m)

His pace and ability to run behind defences could be something that could trouble the Gunners’ defensive line.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 0-2 Manchester United

Chelsea vs Middlesbrough

The Blues are in rampant form & are tearing apart sides for fun. With the title on Chelsea’s mind, Boro seem to have no chance in this game. A massive Chelsea win seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.5m)

3 goals in the last 2 home games; it would be a crime not to have the little Belgian this week.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 4-0 Middlesbrough

Southampton vs Arsenal

Both the Saints and the Gunners haven’t performed to potential in recent weeks, but with the Gunners having the big guns & Champions League on their minds, it seems like they’ll be too much for the Saints.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.5m)

The Chilean will definitely be looking to get back amongst the goals to guide his team to the top 4.

PREDICTION: Southampton 0-2 Arsenal
