Gameweek 12 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 12 is on the cards and teams will be wanting to secure some points ahead of the hectic festive period. The international break is now done and dusted and it’s time for some league action!

So let’s analyse the players who might make a difference and how the teams might perform this weekend. Best of luck & may your arrows be green!

Arsenal vs Tottenham

Gameweek 12 starts with a bang as 2 of the biggest clubs in England go head to head at the Emirates in a North London derby. Arsenal come into this game on the back of a key defeat against the Citizens. Spurs on the other hand scraped a result with a goal to the good against the team rock bottom of the league table. Both sides will be looking to improve & rise further up the table, with hopes of catching the free flowing City side.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.8m)

Away game + lunchtime kick-off = Captain Kane? He does like playing against Arsenal…

PREDICTION: Arsenal 1-3 Tottenham

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield

The tough run of fixtures is finally over for the Cherries, after which they sit 17th on the league table. Howe and his boys will definitely be wanting to move out of the relegation scrap as soon as possible, and with the firepower they possess complementing the upcoming fixtures, we can see nothing but a Cherries win in front of the home crowd.

STAR MAN: Charlie Daniels (4.8m)

With promising fixtures on the horizon, the attacking full back is the one to invest in.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-0 Huddersfield

Burnley vs Swansea

Burnley have had a pretty strong start to the season as they are placed 7th on the league table after the opening 11 gameweeks. The Swans on the other hand are definitely low in confidence after yet another disappointing defeat, this time at home against Brighton. If the Swans are to get back on track, these are the fixtures from which they need to take home the points, but with the form the Clarets are in, it seems the Swans will have to wait a little longer.

STAR MAN: Ben Mee (4.5m)

The Englishman always has the potential of getting returns on both ends of the pitch.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-0 Swansea

Crystal Palace vs Everton

Both the Eagles & the Toffees have been in the most disappointing run of form, with it being hard to judge who is worse. Both sides need to pull up their socks & start delivering if they are to achieve their league targets. Coming back to the fixture, it is pretty hard to separate the 2 sides, but we reckon the Toffees might just edge it, keeping in mind their recent comeback against the Hornets in gameweek 11.

STAR MAN: Leighton Baines (5.8m)

A goal & an assist last time out, could he be the perfect differential with a few favourable fixtures coming up for the Toffees?

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-3 Everton

Leicester vs Manchester City

This is one of the fixtures to look forward to in this gameweek, as 2 very attack minded teams go head to head. This game promises goals from both sides, but we believe that ultimately City’s attacking prowess will overpower the Foxes.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.8m)

This time it’s gonna be Aguerooooo with the difference being 280 characters.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-4 Manchester City

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool have managed to catch up with the top four after an October of 2 halves and will now be looking to push on and apply the pressure on the clubs above them. Southampton on the other hand lost at home surprisingly at the hands of the Clarets and will be looking to make amends.

STAR MAN: Mohammed Salah (9.4m)

As usual, the man to watch out for with his pace is the Egyptian.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-1 Southampton

West Brom vs Chelsea

West Brom have not been as effective in defence this season as they were in the past and as a result find themselves in 16th place with just 10 points so far. Chelsea on the other hand beat a strong United side last time around and will be full of confidence. Certainly see only one result from this game. A blues win.

STAR MAN: Alvaro Morata (10.3m)

The Spaniard has the knack of scoring crucial goals and will certainly be looking to do so again.

PREDICTION: West Brom 0-2 Chelsea

Manchester United vs Newcastle

Mourinho and his men would’ve been disappointed after the loss to Chelsea before the international break which had left them 8 points off the leaders City. Newcastle have been playing good football so far but beating the Red Devils at Old Trafford will not be an easy task for Benitez’s men.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.5m)

He has not scored for a while now and is certainly due a big one.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 3-0 Newcastle

Watford vs West Ham

Watford have produced some very good performances at home this season and there seems to be a sense of confidence among the players when playing at Vicarage Road. The Hammers have won just one of their last five games and still find themselves in the bottom three but with the appointment of Moyes, they surely are expected to make a positive statement.

STAR MAN: Jose Holebas (5.0m)

Surely going to be a key match for the defence and he might just be crucial this week for Watford.

PREDICTION: Watford 0-0 West Ham

Brighton vs Stoke

Brighton have been playing some decent football lately and have already racked up four wins this season which is impressive for a newly promoted side. Stoke on the other hand have had a disappointing start to the campaign and will be looking to put things straight with a win in this game. However,Brighton’s determination and grit in defence might not be too easy to break for the away side.

STAR MAN: Anthony Knockaert (5.7m)

After a slow start to the season, he has certainly picked up pace and looks deadly in attack.

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-1 Stoke
