Gameweek 14 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The busy schedule of December is nearly upon us. Choosing & investing wisely will play a key role from here as fixtures come in thick & fast.

We have been sizing up the options and previewing what might take place in the coming set of fixtures to help you prepare for the coming gameweek.

Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Brighton vs Crystal Palace

Brighton’s defence have certainly earned themselves some praise in the Premier league to date and they will be looking to carry that form into the next set of fixtures. Palace on the other hand, under new manager Roy Hodgson, have won for only the second time this season but they haven’t been great at all away from home and hence this might be a tough task at hand for Hodgson’s Eagles.

STAR MAN: Anthony Knockaert (5.7m)

As he’s proven in the past, he can be a lethal attacking player in Brighton’s ranks.

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Leicester vs Tottenham

The Foxes have not won any of their last three games and are sliding down the table rapidly as they now find themselves in 12th place. Spurs on the other hand will be disappointed after sharing the points with a very poor Baggies side. Pochettino’s men will be looking to get back on track and will certainly make the match a difficult task for the home side.

STAR MAN: Dele Alli (9.2m)

Hasn’t been on the scoresheet for four games running now and he will be looking to get back in scoring form soon.

PREDICTION: Leicester 1-2 Tottenham

Watford vs Manchester United

Watford have had a great start to the season and are already over half way to safety. They have pulled off some great results so far and United are certainly going to be another tough task for the Hornets. Jose’s United have been typically solid this season but Watford aren’t going to be easy to put away.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.5m)

You just know it’s his kind of game to exploit the defence.

PREDICTION: Watford 2-2 Manchester United

West Brom vs Newcastle

The Baggies are managerless at the moment and will certainly feel vulnerable at this point of time but they did manage to get a point away from home last week against Tottenham which might give them the much needed confidence. Newcastle have hit rock bottom in terms of form after losing four games on the spin. Certainly makes for an interesting fixture as both teams will be looking to win.

STAR MAN: Jay Rodriguez (5.6m)

His team needs goals and who other than him to provide them for the Baggies.

PREDICTION: West Brom 1-0 Newcastle

Arsenal vs Huddersfield

After a convincing win against Spurs at home and a 1-0 victory away from home against the Clarets in the last gameweek, the Gunners are up against a Huddersfield team who find themselves firmly in midtable. The Gunners have been unbeaten at home this season and this looks like one of those customary victories.

STAR MAN: Alexandre Lacazette (10.3m)

Expect him to run the opposition defence ragged and get on the scoresheet at least once as he is certainly due a big haul.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 Huddersfield

Bournemouth vs Burnley

The Clarets have kick started on a strong note as they hold onto 7th place on the league table, and could’ve gone as high as 4th with a win over Arsenal. They come into this game after that phenomenal display against the Gunners, but didn’t get to take home any points as a result of a late Alexis Sanchez penalty. This week they come up against an attack minded Cherries side, but seeing Burnley’s defensive potential, we could see another shutout.

STAR MAN: Ben Mee (4.7m)

A leader in defence, the Englishman could yet again inspire his men to get the points.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 0-0 Burnley

Chelsea vs Swansea

A great set of festive fixtures upcoming for the champions & it starts right here, as they welcome the Swans to the Bridge. The Swans are placed 19th on the table and are low in confidence. What more incentive to bring in Chelsea coverage?

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.6m)

3 goals & 3 assists in the last 5 games. A massive haul might not be far.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 3-0 Swansea

Everton vs West Ham

This is definitely a fixture in which 2 of the most out of form teams in the league go head to head. Both of these sides have been very vulnerable defensively, so this is either going to be a very cagey one or an absolute feast of goals.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (8.0m)

A goal & an assist in the last 2 games, he might be discovering his old form.

PREDICTION: Everton 3-2 West Ham

Manchester City vs Southampton

The Citizens are at home and seem to be hungry for more. This week the Saints travel to the Etihad and we definitely can’t see them escaping the wrath of this ruthless City side.

STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (10.5m)

Benched at the weekend, the Brazilian will be all set to fire his side to the 3 points.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 3-0 Southampton

Stoke vs Liverpool

Liverpool have been nothing but great lately, after having given a strong performance against Chelsea at the weekend where they were unlucky not to have taken home the 3 points. This time around, they travel to Stoke on a cold, wintery Wednesday night. The Potters on the other hand have won just 1 out of their last 6 & are in desperate need of some points, but with the form Liverpool are in, it seems the Potters will have to wait.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (9.6m)

Get him in (if you still haven’t), hold him tight & NEVER let go.

PREDICTION: Stoke 0-2 Liverpool
