Gameweek 27 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 26 was certainly not as expected for certain managers but Salah captain’ers had the better share of the points this time around. Don’t expect gameweek 27 to be much different in that aspect, and there certainly won’t be a lack of action this time around. Here’s our take on who could be the probable stars from each fixture and how the gameweek might pan out.

Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Tottenham vs Arsenal

Tottenham are not playing at their usual home and the Gunners have a very good record at Wembley in recent years. Even though Spurs might be tipped to win this one by many, the Arsenal attack will have the ability to rattle the Spurs defence early on and cause a lot of problems. Should be a cracker of a contest with both sides looking for the three points.

STAR MAN: Mesut Ozil (9.3m)

Was crucially involved in the build up play last gameweek and this time will be looking to score or assist a few.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 1-3 Arsenal

Everton vs Crystal Palace

After a disappointing outing last time around, Big Sam would have told his players that he wants nothing less than three points from this next fixture. Palace have a poor away record and will not find a trip to Goodison easy. Looks like it could be an Everton victory.

STAR MAN:Theo Walcott (7.3m)

Should’ve scored a goal last gameweek but missed out and will be looking to produce and finish any chances that come his way this week.

PREDICTION: Everton 2-0 Crystal Palace

Stoke vs Brighton

Stoke now find themselves in the drop zone having lost three of their last five games and have already conceded 52 goals in the league this season, which is more than any other club. Brighton on the other hand were victorious at home against the Hammers but have not been so great away from home and therefore, Stoke might fancy their chances.

STAR MAN: Xherdan Shaqiri (6.1m)

Impact player on his day and hence his performance is going to be crucial in this game for the Potters.

PREDICTION: Stoke 2-1 Brighton

Swansea vs Burnley

Swansea have been very good recently having lost just the one game in their last five fixtures, and the signing of Andre Ayew will add strength to the team going forward. Burnley on the other hand are sitting pretty in 7th but have not won any of their last five games and will be looking to get points this time around. However, a buoyant Swans side after their thrashing of Notts County midweek may make it difficult for the Clarets.

STAR MAN: Jordan Ayew (5.3m)

Hard working, determined and in-form with a goal in every other game over the last 8, what else do you need from a striker to justify his selection?

PREDICTION: Swansea City 1-0 Burnley

West Ham vs Watford

West Ham would’ve been disappointed to have lost last time around to Brighton but will be looking to make a comeback here at home against one of the league’s most unpredictable sides in Watford. The Hornets thumped Chelsea last week but face a different threat this time around.

STAR MAN: Michail Antonio (7.4m)

A left wing pick of the big man here but we expect him to take his chance and show Moyes what he can do, in the absence of his injured teammates.

PREDICTION: West Ham 1-1 Watford

Manchester City vs Leicester

The Citizens come into this fixture having drawn an away game against the ever resilient Clarets. Pep will surely not be looking for another such result. A high scoring game seems to be on the cards at the Etihad.

STAR MAN: Raheem Sterling (9.0m)

He always has an eye for goal at the Etihad.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 4-1 Leicester

Huddersfield vs Bournemouth

Nothing seems to be going right for the Terriers, as they sit 17th on the league table. On the contrary, Howe and his boys have picked up some form and will definitely be wanting to move further up the table, and with the firepower they possess complementing the upcoming fixtures, we can see nothing but a Cherries win.

STAR MAN: Callum Wilson (5.9m)

He will definitely have something to say after a hat-trick in the reverse fixture.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield 0-2 Bournemouth

Newcastle vs Manchester United

Mourinho and his men are playing some decent football of late, having developed a 5 point lead over 3rd placed Liverpool. Newcastle have had a recent slump and they’re winless in the last 4 games. With such a morale beating, beating the Red Devils will not be an easy task for Benitez’s men.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.3m)

A big haul is certainly around the corner.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 0-3 Manchester United

Southampton vs Liverpool

Liverpool have managed to catch up with the top four after a January of 2 halves and are now looking to push on and apply the pressure on the clubs above them. Southampton on the other hand have finally won a league game, all thanks to the Baggies, and will surely be looking to build on this.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (10.3m)

As usual, the man to watch out for with his pace is the Egyptian.

PREDICTION: Southampton 1-3 Liverpool

Chelsea vs West Brom

West Brom have not been as effective in defence this season as they were in the past and as a result find themselves rock bottom. Chelsea have been no different lately, having had a string of disappointing results. This fixture seems to be a do or die for Conte, with his future hanging in the balance.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.7m)

He has the ability to single handedly guide his side home.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-0 West Brom
