The 7th gameweek of the season dawns upon us and along with it comes an FPL gameweek 7 preview! Gameweek 7 comes with a few tasty fixtures that promises a number of goals, in which wise and slightly cheeky investments could reap massive reward.
So good luck & may your arrows be green!
Huddersfield vs Tottenham
Pochettino’s Spurs side are scoring goals for fun away from home in the initial weeks, and the Terriers don’t seem like a side that will halt their run. An easy away win seems to be on the cards.
STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.5m)
11 goals in the last 4 away Premier League games. Hard to look away from him.
PREDICTION: Huddersfield 0-3 Tottenham
Bournemouth vs Leicester
The Foxes narrowly missed out on claiming a point last time out against Klopp’s side, all courtesy to Mignolet’s heroics. The Foxes will definitely be disappointed and will be looking to go all out against a shaky Cherries defence.
STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (8.5m)
We surely can’t see him not having a party.
PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-3 Leicester
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace
The Eagles are nothing but shambolic, having not even scored in the opening 6, let alone take home a point. This week they pay a visit to the Theatre of Dreams and with the ruthless form United are in, we could definitely be in for a highly one sided game.
STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.7m)
6 goals in the opening 6, it would be hard to digest if he doesn’t get on the scoring sheet.
PREDICTION: Manchester 4-0 Crystal Palace
Stoke vs Southampton
Both of these sides were on the losing end last time around, with the Saints narrowly falling short against United and the Potters suffering a hammering at home at the hands of Chelsea. This fixture definitely seems to be a tough one to call, but if the Saints start in a similar manner as they did against Jose’s men, they may just bag a vital 3 points.
STAR MAN: Steven Davis (5.1m)
A cheap starting midfielder in a central role. Might not be long until he’s among points.
PREDICTION: Stoke 1-2 Southampton
West Brom vs Watford
The Hornets made a strong comeback last time around after the massive defeat at the hands of Man City in gameweek 5. The Baggies on the other hand are winless in their last 4 and if they are to get their season back on track, they need to start from here.
STAR MAN: Matt Phillips (6.0m)
His pace could be something that could trouble the Hornets’ defensive line.
PREDICTION: West Brom 1-1 Watford
West Ham vs Swansea
Both of these sides narrowly missed out on points last time out and both of them will be looking to make a comeback. Ultimately, it will all depend on who wants it more.
STAR MAN: Wilfried Bony (6.0m)
An assist in his first start back at Swansea last time out. The Ivory Coast international looks all set to haunt PL defences yet again.
PREDICTION: West Ham 1-2 Swansea
Chelsea vs Manchester City
Saturday ends with a cracker of a game with the league leaders visiting the champions. With both sides on song, this game definitely promises goals and is surely a must must win for both sides in order to keep up the pressure on the top.
STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (10.4m)
With Aguero out, its time for Jesus to shine…
PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-2 Manchester City
Arsenal vs Brighton
Arsenal at home. Arsenal seem to be strong going forward. Open and shut case in my opinion. Easy home win for Wenger’s boys.
STAR MAN: Alexandre Lacazette (10.3m)
4 goals in the last 3 home games. Surely one to keep an eye on.
PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 Brighton
Everton vs Burnley
A decent run of fixtures now dawns upon Everton as the Clarets visit the Goodison. If the Toffees are to finish in a somewhat respectable position on the table, they are to start right from here.
STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (8.3m)
The perfect fixture for the Icelandic playmaker to thrive.
PREDICTION: Everton 2-1 Burnley
Newcastle vs Liverpool
The gameweek ends with 2 very attack minded teams going head to head. The game surely has goals in it for both sides, and we reckon it’ll end as a high scoring draw.
STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (9.2m)
The Egyptian has been on fire since his Premier League return, and seems to be the only consistent one in the Liverpool attack at the moment.
PREDICTION: Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool
