Fantasy Premier League Preview – Gameweek 10 – FPL Tips

Gameweek 10 is here and we’re starting to recognise the characteristics of each team for the season ahead. The gaps in the FPL managerial race have increased significantly and this might just be the time to get serious about your teams. Here we analyse the players who might help you boost your rank further.

Good luck and may your arrows be green!

Brighton vs Wolves

Wolves have already shown why they deserve to stay and play in the Premier League. They come into this game on the back of a disappointing result against the Hornets and will surely be looking to bounce back against a Brighton side who have been scraping results of late.

STAR MAN: Ruben Neves (5.1m)

His role in the heart of the midfield will be crucial for Wolves going forward.

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-2 Wolves

Fulham vs Bournemouth

We have 2 extremely attack minded sides going head to head in this one. All we can expect is goals and an end to end game.

STAR MAN: Alexandre Mitrovic (6.9m)

He will need to deliver if Fulham are to get a result.

PREDICTION: Fulham 2-2 Bournemouth

Liverpool vs Cardiff

A fixture that pretty much speaks for itself. A huge result for the Merseysiders seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (9.3m)

The Brazilian is much overdue a haul.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 5-0 Cardiff

Southampton vs Newcastle

The Saints come into this game on the back of a 5 game winless streak. The Magpies on the contrary are still winless this season and find themselves rock bottom of the league table. With the home crowd behind the Saints, they won’t get a better opportunity than this to rack up some points.

STAR MAN: Danny Ings (5.6m)

Goalless in the last 3. It’s time he turns that around.

PREDICTION: Southampton 2-1 Newcastle

Watford vs Huddersfield

Watford have begun the season on the front foot and as a result, they sit 7th on the league table. Huddersfield on the other hand have been pretty woeful, unable to notch a single win as of yet. An easy win for the Hornets seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Troy Deeney (6.0m)

If fit, he could really have something to say in this one.

PREDICTION: Watford 2-0 Huddersfield

Leicester vs West Ham

Leicester City played a very good first half last week at the Emirates but dropped off in the second which has been their achilles heel this season. They are up against a West Ham side that have a very poor away record and this could certainly be an opportunity to get the three points.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (9.0m)

His pace could very well be the undoing of this West Ham defence.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-1 West Ham

Burnley vs Chelsea

Burnley haven’t quite lived up to the expectations of last season, having conceded 17 goals already. Chelsea are still unbeaten and have a strong attacking side under new manager Sarri. They will surely have the momentum going into this game after that momentous last minute equaliser against Man Utd.

STAR MAN: Willian (7.4m)

With their main man Hazard a doubt, Willian may be taking up the attacking responsibility and conjure up some goals for his side.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-2 Chelsea

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Palace have lost three on the bounce and despite being unlucky to concede 2 late goals last time out against Everton, they have also struggled to score recently with just the two goals in their last five games. Arsenal on the other hand are on a winning streak and haven’t dropped a single point since gameweek 2. The Eagles are going to find it very hard to stop that Arsenal attack, especially with the form they are currently in.

STAR MAN: Alexandre Lacazette (9.7m)

Missed out on FPL points in the last game against Leicester but will surely be looking to be back on the scoresheet this time around.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-3 Arsenal

Manchester United vs Everton

After throwing away another victory last time around against Chelsea at the Bridge, the Red Devils will be frustrated and desperate to get another three points on the board as they currently sit 10th in the table. Everton have won their last three games and are certainly in form coming into this game but the pressure on the Red Devils will make it difficult for the Toffees to get a win away at Old Trafford.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (10.9m)

His role is going to be crucial for the home side as he needs to be the target man for this United team to win this fixture.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 1-0 Everton

Tottenham vs Manchester City

Spurs have been quietly going about their business but haven’t been playing the most satisfying football in doing so. Currently 5th and level on points with their London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, they will be working towards nothing but a win against this City side who are still unbeaten. City will make it very difficult for Spurs but Tottenham do have the capability to upset the champions which makes this game the one to watch out for this gameweek.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.5m)

Always loves to step up for the big games and this is as big as it comes for them so far this season.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 2-1 Manchester City
