The 3rd gameweek of the new FPL season is upon us and along with it comes a Fantasy Premier League Preview for gameweek 3! A few peppy fixtures, in which wise & slightly cheeky investments could reap massive reward.
Good luck & may your arrows be green!
Wolves vs Manchester City
Wolves come into this fixture on the back of a disappointing result against the Foxes and are now up against the champions, who put 6 past the Terriers last gameweek. Another massive scoreline seems to be on the horizon.
STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.1m)
Now is the time to let out all of that frustration off the back of a poor World Cup campaign with Argentina.
PREDICTION: Wolves 0-4 Manchester City
Arsenal vs West Ham
The Gunners under new boss Emery have begun their campaign with 2 defeats on the trot, but now with a favourable run of fixtures in front of them, this seems to be the perfect time to invest in some of the Londoners.
STAR MAN: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (11.0m)
He has all the potential to explode in this London derby.
PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 West Ham
Bournemouth vs Everton
Both the Cherries & Toffees come into this game off the back of narrow 2-1 wins against their opponents of the previous game week. Both sides will be hoping for a top 10 finish in May, and will surely be having a go at one another. This fixture surely has goals in it.
STAR MAN: Joshua King (6.4m)
3rd time lucky for the “Englishman”?!
PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-3 Everton
Huddersfield Town vs Cardiff
The Terriers come into this fixture after a hammering at the hands of the champions. The manager will surely be expecting a reaction & what would be a better fixture than against a Cardiff side who are still finding their feet in the Premier League?
STAR MAN: Aaron Mooy (5.4m)
The Australian will surely need to step up if the Terriers are to register their first points on the table.
PREDICTION: Huddersfield Town 1-0 Cardiff
Southampton vs Leicester City
Southampton showed lack of ambition and ended up losing away from home at the hands of an attacking Everton team. Leicester played out a great game at home against Wolves and will be confident moving into this fixture as well.
STAR MAN: Demarai Gray (5.5m)
In the absence of Vardy, Gray will be looking to steal the limelight.
PREDICTION: Southampton 1-2 Leicester City
Liverpool vs Brighton
The Reds have picked up from where they left off, having won both of their opening 2 games, and a game against the Seagulls at Anfield shouldn’t be something that should hold them back.
STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (13.0m)
You surely can’t look past the Egyptian, simply because of his mammoth ownership.
PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-0 Brighton Hove Albion
Watford vs Crystal Palace
Watford, after winning their first two games, are flying high and will be confident going into this home game against a pretty dodgy Palace defence. Both teams will be looking to play attacking football and this should provide for an exciting game.
STAR MAN: Roberto Pereyra (6.1m)
Explosive in his first game, he will be looking to do the same again in front of the home crowd.
PREDICTION: Watford 2-1 Crystal Palace
Fulham vs Burnley
Both these teams are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season but Burnley as we’ve known from last season do have the much more solid defence and will be able to hold up the Fulham attack.
STAR MAN: Aaron Lenon (5.0m)
His pace could be devastating against this newly promoted Fulham team.
PREDICTION: Fulham 0-1 Burnley
Newcastle vs Chelsea
Newcastle haven’t had a good start to the league and will be looking to make amends against a Chelsea defence which is quite shaky, as was seen in their last game against the Gunners. The advantage Chelsea has is their amazing attack which might just be a bit too overwhelming for the Newcastle defence to handle.
STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.5m)
Doubts of him starting? He can still make an impact after coming on as a substitute as he has done in his last two games.
PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-3 Chelsea
Manchester United vs Tottenham
Manchester United did not have the best of games last weekend after losing to Brighton away from home. With a side of such quality, they were recipients of heavy criticism. Tottenham have started off slowly but still managed to win their first two games. This is a big game and Jose as usual might be following a defensive approach for this one.
STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.5m)
The big man for this big game to help Spurs get something from this game away from home.
PREDICTION: Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham
