Gameweek 28 Sky Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

We’re starting the second blank gameweek of the season, so that means there’s potential to sneak a few extra games out of players. It’s worthwhile noting they’ll play these games later on in the season, so don’t go made about the blanks like FPL.

Goalkeepers

It wasn’t a bad week for keepers with 7 of the keepers scoring 9 and above. Schmeichel was the only one not to keep a clean sheet, but he saved Aguero’s penalty in their defeat. Pope racked up his 3rd return in 4 games with an 11 pointer against Bournemouth. Himself and Patrício are providing great value as the latter has also returned 3 10+ scores in a row.

Defenders

PVA topped the charts with a goal, CS and MOTM against Newcastle. Burnley’s Bardsley assisted and made tackle bonus to add to his clean sheet. Burnley’s fixtures are a mixed bag but they do provide a cheaper option. Doherty ended a long brought without an attacking return with an assist and tackle bonus against Norwich. He looks the best value at £8.5m from the Wolves defence. TAA’s closing the gap to VVD with a cracking performance against West Ham. He was MOTM, assisted twice and made tackle bonus in a rare week where the Reds didn’t keep a CS. Robertson wasn’t far off with an assist and tackle bonus.

Walker and Mendy made passing bonus for the second week running along with 2 CS in a row. Walker looks the best choice at the back with Laporte injured again.

Midfielders

Jota had a stormer against Norwich with a brace, an assist and his 3rd MOTM. At £8.3m he’s brilliant value with some strong fixtures to come over the blanks. McNeil £7.3m returned his first double figure haul of the season. He scored and assisted and was MOTM at home to Bournemouth. Fernandes has started off his Man Utd campaign with a bang. 3 returns in 3 and this week he scored and assisted. He’s also on pens which makes him a very valuable asset. Richarlison who’s in the same price bracket bagged his 10th of the season at The Emirates. Southampton’s Armstrong is a nice differential at £7.4m. He scored his 3rd in 6 weeks with nice fixtures still to come.

Forwards

I was made to eat my words after saying Aubameyang rarely goes nuclear because that’s exactly what he did this week. He braced, made SoT and tackle bonus with a MOTM award. A whopping 19 pointer on Sunday against Everton, but he has a blank this week. DCL scored in that high scoring game and he’s another nice differential even with tougher fixtures. Salah and Mané both scored West. Greenwood £6.2m started against Watford and hit the back of the net and looks set to start next week with Martial likely out. Rodriguez has been ticking over for the past 4 weeks and has hit SoT bonus in his last 3 games. He scored against Bournemouth but short term, fixtures are a mixed bag. Teammate Vydra scored his second goal in 2 games.

Captains

Friday – Soyuncu/Periera or Barnes

Saturday – Salah/Mane

Sunday – Bruno Fernandes or Richarlison look great choices but it will be tough to own both. Jimenez or Jota other good picks.
