Leicester City have signed defender Mitchell Clark on a three year deal. The young defender joins the Foxes after his contract at Aston Villa had expired.
Clarke predominately plays as a centre back, however last season he played left and right back also.
Clarke started his career at Aston Villa, coming through their youth system, eventually making his professional debut for the club in a 4-1 EFL Cup victory against Wigan, however this was to be his only senior appearance for the club.
Last season the defender was loaned out to Port Vale, where he made 45 appearances for the club, helping them secure their place in the Football League.
Internationally, Clarke has played for Wales at youth levels, specifically the under 17’s and 19’s.
Fantasy Football Potential
Clarke will initially link up with Leicester City’s under-23’s this season, but will be pushing for a spot in the senior squad during his three year deal. From a fantasy football perspective it is therefore unlikely we will see the youngster in the Premier League this season, but he certainly looks like one for the future!
