Rocky Bushiri – Fantasy Football Potential

Norwich City have made their sixth signing of the summer as they have snapped up Belgian under-21 defender Rocky Bushiri.

Norwich City are looking to improve their squad ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League season and here’s what Bushiri has had to say about his move to Norwich:

“I am absolutely delighted to join Norwich City. This is a dream come true for me. Now it’s up to me to make sure I repay the confidence that the club has shown in me. I will do everything to achieve the goals we have set together for the years to come.”

Player History

Bushiri started his career at K.V. Oostende in 2012 and in June 2017, at the age of 17, he signed his first professional contract. During the 2017/18 campaign, Bushiri played a total of 8 games in the Belgian top flight (1 off the bench), keeping two clean sheets during the 627 minutes played.

For the 2018/19 season, Bushiri joined Belgian top flight team KAS Eupen on loan and played 33 games, of which he scored a single goal.

Internationally, the 19 year old Belgian has played 7 times across under-19 and under-21 levels.

Fantasy Football Potential

Norwich City have really gone about increasing the strength of their under-23’s side, as they look to settle back into the Premier League. The 19 year old will join Archie Mari, Daniel Adshead and Rob Nizet in the under-23’s, as they have all signed for Norwich this summer.

That said, Norwich City’s opening 5 fixtures are; Liverpool (A), Newcastle (H), Chelsea (H), West Ham (A) and Manchester City (H). Therefore, with this tough opening schedule, playing last years top 3 in the opening 5, Norwich City players are likely to have a low TSB% (teams selected by) at the start of the season.
