Gameweek 15 Captaincy Analysis – Fantasy Football Tips

The games are coming thick and fast, with a midweek set of fixtures this week. That said, the deadline is fast approaching and many will be looking ahead to gameweek 15, but before we look at this weeks captaincy picks, here’s a breakdown of how last weeks picks did:

1. Saido Mane – 2 points
2. Kevin De Bruyne – 10 points
3. Son Heung-Min – 10 points
Differential – Christian Pulisic – 2 point
Gamble – Anthony Martial – 2 points

Fingers crossed for better returns this week, here’s our top picks for the up coming gameweek:

1. Jamie Vardy (WAT)

6 games in a row were Vardy has found the net, and is closing in on that record that was set by, Vardy himself! He wasn’t amazing against Everton but the top scorer takes on a Watford side this week that sacked their manager recently, and have only kept 3 clean sheets all season, all of them being at home! Considering how good Leicester have been all season, and the form Vardy is in, he’s definitely the player to captain this week!

2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (BHA)

I’m convinced that Aubameyang could score 55 in the season, and still only be owned by 20% of FPL owners. The brace last week takes his tally up to 10 goals for the season, and despite managerial changes occurring at Arsenal, it doesn’t seem to be affecting Aubameyang too much. They take on Brighton this week, another team who have struggled defensively this year, only keeping three clean sheets too like Watford. His ownership is surprisingly low for a player like him, an additionally benefit to captaining him this week!

3. Son Heung-Min (MUN)

Since Mourinho came in, the attention has been on Dele Alli’s turn in form, but I’ve been much more impressed by Son, who has been magnificent these past few weeks. Mourinho‘s side have scored ten goals in 3 games in all competitions, and Son amazingly hasn’t blanked in any of them, scoring once and assisting 3 times (26 points!) in the last 2 FPL games! They take on Man United this week, who Son doesn’t have a good record against admittedly, however Utd have only kept 3 clean sheets all season, and Mourinho will certainly want to win against his former club.

Differential – Jack Grealish (CHE)

Firstly, I know what you’re thinking, Grealish against Chelsea might be way too much to ask for, but here me out. Chelsea may seem like they have a good defence, however they’ve only kept 4 clean sheets all season. Plus, Villa actually have quite a good scoring record this season, only failing to score in 2 games all year, good for a team that has only just came up! Grealish has scored 3 times and assisted 4 goals this year, and has been so influential for Villa.

Gamble – Saido Mane (EVE)

Sadio Mane a gamble against Everton? The same team who have done horrific defensively all year, and who haven’t actually won at Anfield since 1999? This could backfire, but Merseyside Derbies of late haven’t actually been huge goalfests, in fact most of them in the last 3 years have either finished 1-0 or 0-0, not a good sign for Mane. He’s been decent all season, but Everton could surprise a few this week. They werent too bad against Leicester and were unlucky to lose, I don’t think Liverpool will walk over Everton like many think!
