FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 16 – FPL Tips

As one finishes, another starts. I can barely get a second to breathe during the period. This week won’t go down in the record books as we had another red arrow down to 668k. Hopefully it’s up from here after the past few weeks have seen the team shaken up.

Heaton, Lundstram and Robertson both let in two goals apiece while Soyuncu added another clean sheet to his ever growing tally. Rico was our top scorer, on the bench. He kept a jammy clean sheet as he was subbed early as his side lost and kept all 3 bps.

Alli returned against Man Utd with a brilliant solo effort in a failed attempt to come from behind at Old Trafford, but I’m pleased with his first performance. Son on the other hand got into plenty of good areas but failed to score or assist. De Bruyne blanked as City were rampant against Burnley which was frustrating. Pulisic blanked for the 3rd week running, while the former player Mount scored to rub salt into the wounds. Zaha blanked on his debut and he wasn’t helped by an early red card for his teammate Sakho. He’s still got great fixtures to come.

Vardy continued his goal scoring run, but he was booked for diving which prevented him scoring a second penalty. VAR didn’t overturn the decision even though there was contact and that cost my captain a handful of points. Jimenez blanked in his 2-0 win against West Ham but managed to threaten the keeper a few times.

Transfers: Saving but I was tempted to bring Mané in. He may well be in next week.

Heaton is the only defender at home this week and he plays Leicester and I’m hoping he doesn’t keep a CS or save a pen! The backline are all away. Soyuncu goes to Villa which will be tough. Robbo and Lundstram look much more likely for a clean.

Pulisic travels to manager-less Everton. If he blanks again, he’ll be going down as a failed transfer. KDB and his side are playing in the Manchester Derby, so emotions will be high. City have done well against their neighbours in recent years so I’m confident in a return. Zaha also plays a team who’s just appointed a new manager in Watford. His fixtures are unreal up till January. Alli and Son face Burnley who shipped 4 at home last week. While Spurs can’t defend, they can definitely attack.

Jimenez blanked for the first time since gameweek 10 and he plays Brighton who aren’t terrible defensively. Him and Vardy look a mainstay till Wildcard time. The latter goes to Villa who’ve kept just 3 CS this season.

Captain: Vardy. I’m yet to not captain him since I’ve signed him.
