It was a long awaited green arrow of just over 100k with a score of 68. I’m still outside the top 500k there’s still well over half the season still to go. We’ve finally got a few days off to calm ourselves down from the Christmas mayhem before it gets going again.
It was a tough week for the defence with only 2 matches containing a clean sheet. Heaton and Soyuncu both conceded, while the latter hit his header from point blank range straight at Heaton. Lundstram blanked for the 5th week running and his 21 pointer looks a distant memory. Robertson kept a long awaited clean sheet.
KDB, Pulisic and Zaha all blanked. The latter two have been extremely disappointing since I brought them in. The two spurs mids did the business with a goal and 3 assists between them. Son scored a goal of the season contender in his 12 pointer.
Jimenez has been dropping in price recently but he returned another assist against Brighton. Vardy bagged his 6th double digit haul of the season.
Transfers: Jimenez (OUT) -> Rashford (IN)
Heaton and Lundstram are up against each other, so a nil-nil will be ideal but it’s going to be highly unlikely. Robertson faces Watford who have appointed Pearson as their new manager. Soyuncu is at home to Norwich and I’m hoping he can get on the scoresheet once again.
Zaha plays Brighton on Monday night which is an important game for his longevity in the side. It’s a similar case for Pulisic who plays Bournemouth. His fixtures toughen up after this game too. The Spurs duo travel to Wolves who’ve kept just 1 clean sheet since GW9, but it’s never an easy affair against Wolves. KDB plays a leaky Arsenal side at The Emirates. He keeps his place in the side thanks to Liverpool’s upcoming blank.
Vardy plays Norwich at home and I expected him to make it his 9th consecutive game to score in. Rashford comes in as he plays Everton on Sunday. He’s in great form is a much better option than Martial at the moment.
Captaincy: Vardy. Form and fixture. It looks like next week may be the first time in a while he won’t get the armband.
