Gameweek 17 Differentials – Fantasy Football Tips

This article will look at 5 players selected by user 5% of managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 17 for a one week punt or beyond to push managers up the overall rankings.

Vicente Guaita (£5.0m) – Crystal Palace – 1.6% TSB

People do not bring in goalkeepers for one week punts but Guaita has just two “red” fixtures until gameweek 31! This includes hosting a sub par Arsenal side in gameweek 22. He won’t return immediately necessarily but is a hugely strong option going forward as a set and forget option in goal. He has returned 26 points in the past 3 weeks with 3 cleansheets 3 save points and 5 bonus. Those looking for replacements for their goalkeeper, especially Pope, he is absolutely worth looking at! I have brought him in and have not regret it!

Jetro Willems (£4.6m) – Newcastle – 3.4% TSB

Willems plays wing back and so spends a lot of his time getting forward which saw him score in gameweek 14 against Man City. Newcastle have looked much stronger defensively especially away from home with 2 clean sheets in their last 3 on the road. In gameweek 16 Newcastle host a Burnley side who have looked extremely poor in recent gameweek’s both in attack and defence. This means there is a lot of potential for Willems to get returns.

George Baldock (£4.7m) – Sheffield United – 4.0% TSB

Baldock has blanked in just 3 of the last 9 game weeks with including 3 clean sheets, 2 goals and 2 assists. In gameweek 16 it is a clash of two nearly promoted teams as Sheffield United host Aston Villa. There are potential for Baldock both for clean sheet points and attacking returns as Sheffield United will look to return to their more defensive minded selves no doubt. Sheffield United have Brighton and Watford after gameweek 16 and so there is potential to hold Baldock for a longer period of time.

Lucas Moura (£7.0m) – Tottenham – 4.1% TSB

Moura is a hot asset and his ownership and price will not be this low for much longer as Spurs look to continue their flying form. Moura has scored twice in 4 matches and 3 starts under Mourinho. He was rested against Manchester United and this is a mistake Mourinho is unlikely to make again. In gameweek 16, Spurs travel to Wolves who have just conceded two to Brighton and are anything but watertight at the back. On their current form, Spurs can score against anyone and all 4 of the main spurs attackers could be involved.

Neal Maupay (£5.8m) – Brighton – 0.8% TSB

Maupay has returned 2 goals and 5 bonus points in the last 2 games showing that he is on hot form but also the seems a bonus point magnet as there were 7 goals in these 2 games yet got almost all bonus. In gameweek 16 Brighton travel to Crystal Palace who have looked strong defensively. However, Brighton look really strong forward and they are unlikely to be kept out. Brighton have strong fixtures going forward including Bournemouth at home in gameweek 18.
