FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 18 – FPL Tips

Gameweek 17 saw a tiny green arrow as the side hit 63 points. It was a frustrating week with the highest points scored on the bench this season with 19. That came from 2 CS and a goal. Ouch.

The XI kept 1 CS as Leicester, Villa and Palace all conceded. Meanwhile our bench kept 2 CS. Lundstram was finally back int the points with an assist, 2 bps and a CS.

Boht Spurs players blanked against Wolves which was frustrating, but I expected it to be a tough game. Pulisic blanked for the 5th game running. Patience has run dry. Zaha scored with his only shot of the week and what a strike it was. I got quite lucky with KDB, as. I wcas contemplating selling him but he returned in style with a masterclass against arsenal. A huge 19 points!

Rashford blanked on his debut while the outgoing Jimenez picked up an assist. I’m still confident in that transfer. Captain Vardy had a quiet week with an assist after his shot was turned in by Tim Jrul.

Transfers: Pulisic (OUT) -> Grealish (IN)

With 2 weeks left till the wildcard, Villa’s fixtures make him a great option.

It’s a cut price defence this week with all defenders starting price being £4.0m. Heaton has Southampton at home, who’ve got an in from Ings leading their line. Rico gets a rare start after picking up a clean sheet on my bench last week. Burnley have been really hit and miss going forward, so it’s hard to call. Kelly and Lundstram travel to St James’ Park and The Amex in games that could go either way. As you can tell I’m not too confident.

While I was contemplating selling KDB last week, he certainly made my mind up, but now he’s got 2nd placed Leicester. The Foxes have been extremely tight at the back this season, but recent weeks have seen them ship 3 in 4 games. That’s not a lot but I have a feeling this will be a big game in the race for second. Zaha travels to Newcastle and his recent stats have been extremely poor. He’s got 2 weeks to up his game or he’s getting culled on the wildcard. Son and Alli face their London rivals, Chelsea. Mourinho’s men will fancy their chances against his old club as they continue to leak goals. Grealish faces Southampton who haven’t kept a CS since GW5. He’s one booking away from a suspension, so I need him to stay out of the book in this game.

Vardy finally broke his scoring run last week and he’s got a tough test against Man City. However, they’ve kept just 1 CS in 6 gameweeks. Finally Rashford is up against Watford. Even though they lost the Liverpool, they seemed to play much better, but will the new manager bounce be enough to keep Rashford out?

Captain: Alli. I think Spurs will show up on Sunday afternoon and Dele will be involved.
