FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 20 – FPL Tips

Can this rotten run end! 49 points sees yet another red arrow and I think that’s mainly down to a certain man called Trent. With another gameweek in just over 12 hours, rotation is going to be rife with around 48 hours between games. However, it’s Wildcard time!

A Christmas miracle! Heaton returns a 10 pointer on his way out after a brilliant defensive effort from Villa. 5 saves and maximum bonus. That’s where it ended with all 3 defenders blanking. Mendy especially, costing his team a point.

Zaha ends his stay in the team with a blank, 2 goals against West Ham and no involvement. Salah was brought off on the 60 minute mark and he had a chance to square it to Mané early on, but shot himself. KDB and Grealish returned an assist each. Alli scored with his first real impact on the game and nearly braced.

Captain Vardy blanked for the first time since GW8! Rashford finished off a nice cross from AWB for a 6 pointer. Greenwood netted on the bench.

Transfers: Wildcard

Guaita has fantastic fixtures right up until GW30 and I assume I’ll be Wildcarding just after that period. He does cost a little bit extra but he’s picking up a lot of saves and bps.

TAA is in for the first time this season. He looks a must own with a DGW not to far away. Lundstram maintains his spot. He was a bargain at £4.0m and he’s still that at £4.6m. Soyuncu and Rico also keep their places. The Leicester man has struggled recently but fixtures but they’ve only face 2 of the big 6 between now and GW34. Likewise with Rico, Bournemouth have some brilliant fixtures. He’s likely to remain on the bench most weeks but when needed, he faces 2 of the big 6 up until GW32. Finally Sidibé comes in at £5.3m. New manager, new position and attacking potential.

Grealish, KDB, Alli and Salah all remain. The Villa man has been their most important player and he’s involved in everything. KDB has also been the blue’s main man and City’s fixtures are solid up until GW26. Salah has a DGW coming up and Liverpool are levels above the rest. Alli remains even though he’s a doubt this week. He’s easy to move on down the line if need be. Cantwell comes in as a 5th mid bolstering the bench. He’s unlikely to play most weeks.

We’re back on a front 3. There was no chance Vardy was leaving. Fixtures are still great even if he’s due a rest. Maupay gets another shot in the side. He’s form has been great and he’s just been given a rest too. The Seagull’s have great fixtures up until GW29. Last but not least Ings comes in. Southampton’s fixtures are a mixed bag, but he’s been scoring against anyone.

This has left me with £2.1m ITB in order to get a third Liverpool asset down the line

Captain: Salah. Brought off early, so he’s likely to start against Wolves. It’s a tough week with rotation looking to be likely.
