FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 23 – FPL Tips

After breaking our green arrow duck last week, we’re back with another red. Man City running riot against Villa gave plenty of opportunity to shoot up the ranks, and owning KDB wasn’t enough. We’re 1 GW away from the DGW, so let’s think positively.

Guaita once again picked up a 3 pointer against a stronger Arsenal side. TAA and Sidibé both kept clean sheets. Soyuncu blanked as Leicester surprisingly lost to Southampton.

Grealish was the only midfielder to blank and got himself booked right at the end of the game for a single. KDB assisted twice against Villa but returned no bps due to the other returning more. Sarr returned on debut with an assist and CS point, which was the exact same for Salah.

Vardy could only muster an assist vs Southampton while Ings had an unbelievable game for just 5 points. His stats were a joke and he continued his goal scoring run, but took off his shirt in celebration to get booked.

Transfers: Guaita to McCarthy. This move frees up funds to bring in Mané next week and I roll the other FT.

McCarthy faces Wolves at home, who’ve only failed to score twice on the road. It’s going to be a tough first game. TAA is at home to Man Utd and barring a counter attack, I’m confident in a CS. Everton have been extremely solid as of late, but they face a resurgent West Ham away from home. Soyuncu faces Burnley who are in dire straights at the moment. Leicester have hit a slight rough patch too so it’ll be interesting to see how they react.

The front 8 all have good fixtures and unfortunately I’ve got to bench Grealish over Cantwell. Cantwell has a plum home fixture against Bournemouth. He has a fantastic home record which edges it over Grealish. Sarr starts against Spurs and he’s looked brilliant under Pearson. KDB plays Crystal Palace and he’s a must own at this point. Man Utd are Liverpool’s opponents and they’re the only side Liverpool have failed to win against. I’ve a feeling it will be a tight low scoring win for Liverpool. Currently Grealish’s the man who makes way for Mané next week.

The machine, Ings, plays Wolves at home and at this point you’ve just got to expect a goal. Vardy travels to Burnley and I fully expect Vardy to get back on the scoresheet. Burnley have shipped 8 in their last 4 games. Maupay gets one more game against the league’s worst defence, Aston Villa.

Captain: KDB. City are in brilliant form and they face Palace at the Etihad on Saturday. City are scoring freely and he’s always likely to be involved. It was close between him and Vardy, but Leicester’s slight drop in form made the decision.

Any changes between now and the deadline will be updated in the members WhatsApp group and Slack Channel. There’s still a lot of team news to come out that could affect the side. You can use code “FPLJUNIOR” for 20% off membership to access said groups and the £1,000 cash league. Join here.
