FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 28 – FPL Tips

Last gameweek wasn’t a bad week as the side picked up their 3rd green arrow in 4 games. The second BGW of the season is here. I’m happy going into this gameweek with 11 players but it’s a bit worrying 10 of them are away. KDB and Grealish both blank but neither are being sold.

Returns all round at the back this week. There was only one CS kept and it was the Southampton defence as McCarthy also scooped a bonus point with no waves. The other 3 shared a goal and 3 assists between them. Stevens volleyed home on debut for the side as he replaced out of favour Lundstram. However, he picked up a knock and went off at half time. Robertson returned another assist and Trent got 2 and 3 bps.

Traore was benched again and came on for a cameo. Grealish was unlucky not to get an assist but frustratingly got booked in the 96th minute. KDB was kept quiet away to Leicester. Salah got his usual home goal but failed to get any bps.

Vardy hit the post against City but blanked yet again. Ings blank against Villa was the most surprising of the week. Jimenez scores against Norwich but was booked.

Transfers: Sidibé to Taylor

It’s a back 4 with the blank gameweek. McCarthy is away to West Ham who desperately need points. TAA and Robbo face Watford on the road and their new manager bounce has seemed to have ended. Soyuncu also gets a rare outing as he travels to Norwich on Friday night. Taylor travels to Newcastle to make it 5/5 away games. Not too confident here.

Cantwell gets a rare start at home to Leicester, I don’t mind if he blanks as long as Leicester keep a CS or vice versa. Traore plays away to Spurs where he scored a 10 pointer in the reverse fixture, I need a return but he played nearly a full game on Thursday. Salah travels to Watford where he bagged a brace against them at home.

Vardy is up against a shocking Norwich defence, so if he can’t score against them this week, I don’t know when he will. Ings and Jimenez play away to defences not much better than Norwich’s in West Ham and Spurs.

Captain: Salah. I’m not that confident in Salah’s away form but no one else stood out this week. I still invisage him getting something at Watford.
