Gameweek 20 Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

Just as one gameweek finishes, another starts in less than 24 hours! This gameweek could be rife with rotation, so make sure your bench is strong, but without further ado, here is our gameweek preview for week 20:

Brighton vs Bournemouth

A south cost derby, Brighton host Bournemouth this gameweek. Brighton sit one place above Bournemouth in 15th due to goal difference, so both will want to come away with the 3 points this gameweek.

Star Man – Callum Wilson (£7.4m)

Wilson has not scored since gameweek 7, but will need to get back to scoring ways.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Bournemouth

Newcastle vs Everton

Everton travel to Newcastle after being unbeaten in their last 4 games, which have included games against Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal! This should therefore be an easy victory for the Toffees?

Star Man – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m)

The youngster is starting to find the back of the net a little more regularly with 3 in his last 4.

Prediction: Newcastle 1-2 Everton

Southampton vs Crystal Palace

The Saints are heading into the gameweek after an impressive 0-2 victory over Chelsea, whilst Palace came back from 0-1 down against West Ham to win 2-1. Both equally impressive and this game could be a very tight fixture, likely to be decided by a bit of magic.

Star Man – Danny Ings (£6.5m)

One of this seasons bargain strikers, he will be key if the Saints are to come away with the 3 points.

Prediction: Southampton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Watford vs Aston Villa

Watford are no longer bottom of the league, sitting in 19th, but this week they host 18th, Aston Villa, in what will be a 6 pointer. If Villa win, the will put a 8 point gap between them and Watford, but a loss will mean all will stay the same, but the Hornets will be a little closer to getting out of the relegation zone. This will be a cagey affair.

Star Man – Jack Grealish (£6.4m)

Grealish has shown his class of late.

Prediction: Watford 0-1 Aston Villa

Norwich vs Tottenham

Norwich host Spurs who are in reasonable form, but will be without Son and potentially without Alli, so this could be a closer affair than many will have thought. Norwich will have the fans behind them and could cause an upset.

Star Man – Teemu Pukki (£6.6m)

The Pukki party will be needed if Norwich are to pick up 3 points.

Predition: Norwich 2-1 Tottenham

West Ham vs Leicester

The Hammers host a Leicester side who are left wounded after defeats against both of their main rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool. This week they will want to get back to winning ways, but West Ham certainly won’t make it easy.

Star Man – Jamie Vardy (£10.1m)

After not being able to find the back of the net, the league’s top scorer will want to get back to scoring ways.

Prediction: West Ham 1-3 Leicester

Burnley vs Manchester United

Burnley have not beaten Manchester United in the league in any of their last 9 games and this is unlikely to change. United are coming into this game after a convincing 4-1 defeat of Newcastle and they will look to be just as convincing this week.

Star Man – Paul Pogba (£8.4m)

After coming on in the last two, we expect Pogba to make his first start since injury this gameweek.

Prediction: Burnley 0-3 Manchester United

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arguably the game of the weekend see’s Arsenal host Chelsea. Both teams are desperate for a win, which could make this a thrilling game. Arsenal will be pleased to play at home, whilst Chelsea will be pleased to be playing away from home after losing their last two home games!

Star Man – Mason Mount (£6.4m)

After not starting last week, Mount could be crucial from the start.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Liverpool vs Wolves

Both Liverpool and Wolves had brilliant gameweek 19, with Liverpool defeating Leicester, going 13 points clear at the top, whilst Wolves came back from 0-2 down against Manchester City. That said, with the form Liverpool are in, surely this will be another win for them?

Star Man – Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m)

After his performances mid-week, who else?

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Wolves

Manchester City vs Sheffield United

After a shocking defeat to Wolves mid-week, City host Sheffield United who will be keen to put on a performance at the Etihad. The Blades could have a chance here, but I expect Pep and his men to prove a point.

Star Man – Kevin De Bruyne (£10.5m)

A key source of goals and assists for Man City and they will be looking to their main man this week.

Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Sheffield United
