Gameweek 9 Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

Heres our preview, star players and predictions for gameweek 9!

Everton vs West Ham

Everton are desperate for a result and need to get one otherwise it might be the end of Silva, however it won’t be easy coming up against West Ham this gameweek.

Star Man: Pickford (£5.5m)

Could do with keeping a clean sheet for the basis of a win.

Prediction: Everton 1 – 0 West Ham

Aston Villa vs Brighton

Villa look in good form, but Brighton have been full of surprises this season, will we see another one this gameweek?

Star Man: Wesley (£6.0m)

Was great in the previous game and could be the start of a good run of form.

Prediction: Aston Villa 3 – 1 Brighton

Bournemouth vs Norwich

Goals, goals and more goals!… Probably more for Bournemouth given Norwich’s awful away form, but this could be an interesting fixture.

Star Man: Callum Wilson (£7.9m)

Should be able to start his good run of fixtures with a goal.

Prediction: Bournemouth 4 – 1 Norwich

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Chelsea look strong, and I expect Newcastle to put up a fight, but ultimately struggle against the young Chelsea side.

Star Man: Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.9m)

Newcastle could struggle to defend against the tricky winger.

Prediction: Chelsea 2 – 0 Newcastle

Leicester vs Burnley

The foxes look good, especially at home this season and this week they host Burnley who are unbeaten in the last 4 games.

Star Man: Jamie Vardy (£9.0m)

Clinical. Time for a Vardy party?

Prediction: Leicester 3 – 0 Burnley

Tottenham vs Watford

Spurs should halt the slide against a poor Watford team who haven’t scored in their last 3 games.

Star Man: Harry Kane (£10.9m)

Was good against Bulgaria. Certainly playing deeper, but being very creative.

Prediction: Tottenham 2 – 1 Watford

Wolves vs Southampton

Wolves are starting to hit their stride and with Southampton hovering just above the relegation zone it could be a tight game.

Star Man: Raul Jiminez (£7.1m)

Hitting form and at a great price.

Prediction: Wolves 1 – 0 Southampton

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Palaces mean defence against a wounded city team. This could be another interesting challenge for the champions, but you would expect them to come away with the win.

Star Man: Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m)

With Aguero rumours circulating it has to be worth taking a punt on Kevin.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 2 Manchester City

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Not the fixture it once was, but it is two mean defences with the lowest likely ‘Xg’ conceded in the league. Liverpool still unbeaten this season, which could be tested this week.

Star Man: Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m)

Defensive and attacking potential returns.

Prediction: Manchester United 0 – 0 Liverpool

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Good Monday night game. Sheffield United are a good home team, but this Arsenal side have goals in them.

Star Man: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.1m)

Arsenal’s star man is looking prolific this year

Prediction: Sheffield United 1 – 1 Arsenal
