FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 13 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Last week we saw some huge fantasy football scores, but one popular captain, Harry Kane, failed to pick up any notable points and even picked up a yellow card! That said, this week he comes up against a manager-less West Brom side, so many will be giving him one last chance.

Before we look into the captaincy selections, here’s how last week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Mohamed Salah – 16 points
2. Romelu Lukaku – 6 points
3. Sergio Aguero – 0 points
Differential – Eden Hazard – 18 points
Gamble – Harry Kane – 1 point

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Harry Kane (WBA)

Despite playing poorly against Arsenal, Kane will surely bounce back with a home game against West Brom, a team who conceded 4 at home to Chelsea last week! Kane scored in the midweek game against Dortmund too, so considering how poorly West Brom have been playing, in addition to the fact they no longer have a manager, this could be a fantastic game for Kane to improve his goal scoring tally for this season! Last season, this fixture saw Kane score a hat-trick; could that happen again?!

2. Leroy Sane (HUD)

Picking a City attacker for captaincy is obvious but which one to pick causes the most dilemmas. However, Sane is the one who has been picking up the most points recently. He has scored 4 goals and assisted 6 times in only 6 games for City in the league, and is consistently starting and playing for over 85 minutes! City take on Huddersfield this week, who again struggled last week against Bournemouth who scored 4 against them! If Bournemouth managed that, Sane surely can provide double figures this week!

3. Romelu Lukaku (BHA)

It was no coincidence that when Pogba returned, Lukaku’s goals would also return. Pogba has an unbelievable amount of influence on United, and this reflects in Lukaku’s performance. He should have scored two if he wasn’t clawed down in the box too, and this week, United play Brighton at home, which should see plenty of goals! United are phenomenal at Old Trafford, and people are forgetting Lukaku has scored 8 and assisted 3, one of the highest tallies in the league. If he can pick up his form, there’s no defender who can stop him!

Differential – Xherdan Shaqiri (CRY)

You’re all thinking, “Really, Shaqiri!?”. Well, you’ll be surprised with how well he’s playing! Surprisingly owned by 5%, he’s now provided an assist in his last 3 games as well as a goal, and has only blanked in 3 games that he has started! This week, Stoke play Palace who have one of the most amount of goals in the league, so Shaqiri could make that run of assists into 4 games!

Gamble – Mohamed Salah (CHE)

Salah has the most amount of points this season. However, this week it’s a huge gamble to captain the Egyptian as they play Chelsea, who have kept 3 clean sheets in a row and even kept United out! Liverpool will find this game difficult, and will not have great confidence due to the bottling of their midweek game against Sevilla, drawing 3-3 after leading 3-0! He’s owned by 45% and will most likely be a popular captain choice for this week. However, Chelsea will be a very tough task for Liverpool!
