Gameweek 13 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The 13th gameweek of the season is upon us (it even starts a day earlier than usual, on Friday), and along with it comes the Gameweek 13 FPL Preview! Gameweek 13 provides us with a few interesting fixtures and some real potential for fantasy points so make sure you prep fully!

Here is our analysis of the upcoming fixtures. Good luck & may your arrows be green!

West Ham vs Leicester

David Moyes’ Hammers reign kicked off with his team being jeered and booed off by their own fans at Vicarage Road as they fell to a deserved defeat, leaving them entrenched in the Premier League bottom three. Moyes’ comments summed it up – “There were players with big reputations who disappointed me”. Leicester also suffered defeat but perhaps to a more acceptable opponent, Manchester City. The Hammers are visibly low in confidence and as well as form, this could be something that the Foxes could benefit from.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (8.5m)

He could be having a party against a leaky Hammers defence.

PREDICTION: West Ham 0-2 Leicester

Crystal Palace vs Stoke

The Eagles have played some decent football over the last couple of weeks, and were unlucky last time out to have not taken home the 3 points against the Toffees. The Potters on the other hand sit just 3 points above the relegation scrap, and will be looking to get even further away from it as soon as possible. This fixtures seems to be an open ended one, with both sides having their fair share of chances.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Zaha (6.8m)

His pace and running behind defences could be something to worry about for Hughes’ boys.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 2-2 Stoke

Manchester United vs Brighton

Pogba & Ibrahimovic are BACK. Lukaku is BACK among goals. They play at their fortress. It seems to be an open and shut case; an easy win for Jose.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.5m)

With Pogba providing the creative spark, we won’t be surprised to see him get a double figure point haul.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 4-0 Brighton

Newcastle vs Watford

The Toon come into this home fixture with just 1 win from the last 6 games and are on the back of a hammering at Old Trafford. Rafa will definitely be looking to turn things around and get his side back to winning ways, but with the performance the Hornets gave against the Hammers, they might just end up edging this one.

STAR MAN: Richarlison (6.5m)

Away from home, the Brazilian has averaged 7.2 points per match, and is definitely one to consider for the armband as well.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-2 Watford

Tottenham vs West Brom

Spurs come into this game after being outplayed in the North London derby at the Emirates & have suffered 2 defeats in the last 3 fixtures. They’ve secured top spot in the “group of death” in the Champions League and this weekend, they welcome a manager-less Baggies side, and we reckon there couldn’t be a better fixture for Spurs to carry that momentum in to.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.8m)

It would be hard to digest if the Englishman doesn’t net against such a poor Baggies defence.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 4-0 West Brom

Swansea vs Bournemouth

As soon as the tough fixtures ended for the Cherries, they kicked on and thumped Huddersfield with 10 men, mainly courtesy to a Wilson hat-trick. Swansea on the contrary have lost each of their last 4 games, and with the form they are, we don’t think they can escape the wrath of a free-flowing Cherries attack.

STAR MAN: Callum Wilson (5.9m)

Wouldn’t be wrong to expect another goal or two after a hat-trick last time out.

PREDICTION: Swansea 0-3 Bournemouth

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Soccer Saturday ends with a very tasty fixture as 2 Premier League giants go head to head. Both these sides are in form, with both sides winning each of their last 3 fixtures in an impressive manner. This fixture definitely promises action which will definitely be a treat to watch.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (9.6m)

The Egyptian is on fire, and it will take a very resilient Chelsea defence to stop the former Chelsea man.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-2 Chelsea

Southampton vs Everton

The Saints have been miserable of late having won just 1 of their last 7 fixtures & come into this game after being humiliated by a ruthless Liverpool side. Everton on the other hand are also not in the best of form but with with their side now getting the much needed goals, they could be just edging this tie.

STAR MAN: Leighton Baines (5.8m)

2 goals & 1 clean sheet in the last 2 games. Could this be the return of the old Baines..!?

PREDICTION: Southampton 1-2 Everton

Burnley vs Arsenal

Burnley have had an amazing start to their campaign as they sit comfortably in 7th place, with 3 points separating them from 3rd place. Arsenal also find themselves in a similar position, with only the goal difference separating the 2 sides on the table. Dyche and his boys will be all pumped up to yet again deliver, which could result in them rising above their opponents on the table. Moreover, with the home crowd behind the Clarets & keeping in mind Arsenal’s ability to falter against smaller sides, it shouldn’t be shocking to see an upset on Sunday.

STAR MAN: Nick Pope (4.6m)

The young English lad will be called upon time and time again to keep his side in the tie.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-0 Arsenal

Huddersfield vs Manchester City

Manchester City have been playing some amazing football since the start of the season, and no team seems able to stop them, but even if there’s one, it’s definitely not Huddersfield. Another resounding victory seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Leroy Sane (8.9m)

3 goals and 4 assists in the last 5 games. The German seems all set to deliver yet again.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield 0-5 Manchester City
