Gameweek 26 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

After an unusual gameweek 25, the Premier League returns with the 26th gameweek of the season, which has some interesting fixtures on offer. Here’s our predictions for the week and the players who could star for their respective teams.

Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Burnley vs Manchester City

Burnley managed just a point away from home against Newcastle and had a tough time in keeping the score line that way. Manchester City on the other hand cruised past West Brom and have gained a 15 point cushion over second placed Manchester United. You can almost sense that City are going to win this too.

STAR MAN: Raheem Sterling (8.9m)

Always energetic and will look to get on the score sheet again for his team after three goalless gameweeks.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-2 Manchester City

Bournemouth vs Stoke

Bournemouth are on the back of an amazing three goal victory over the mighty Blues at the Bridge and they will now be full of confidence. Stoke City have been poor recently and don’t seem like a team that will be able to beat this Cherries team at the Vitality, who are in-form.

STAR MAN: Callum Wilson (5.8m)

The man in-form for the team with three goals in his last four games.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 3-1 Stoke

Brighton vs West Ham

Brighton have not won a game since gameweek 19 and are edging closer to the bottom of the table. West Ham, after a five match unbeaten streak, have moved up the table and will be looking to keep their distance from the bottom half of the table.

STAR MAN: Glenn Murray (5.7m)

He can be crucial for the team up front and will cause problems in that Hammers defence.

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-0 West Ham

Leicester City vs Swansea

The Foxes were without their star man Mahrez last gameweek and his absence certainly made a difference in the way they played the game. Swansea have been on a roll with victories against Liverpool and Arsenal consecutively. This will make for an interesting game with both sides looking to win.

STAR MAN: Alfie Mawson (5.0m)

Always a threat on set pieces and that might be the way for Swansea to crack the Foxes.

PREDICTION: Leicester City 0-0 Swansea

Manchester United vs Huddersfield

Mourinho and his boys come into this weekend fixture being completely outrun by 5th placed Spurs. The Reds will surely be looking to fight back with a commanding win, and this Terriers side doesn’t look like a side that could keep them at bay.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.3m)

He always scores against the sides lower in the table, right!?

PREDICTION: Manchester United 4-0 Huddersfield

West Brom vs Southampton

The Saints continue their never-ending winless streak with the number having risen to 12 games. The Baggies are no different, including having suffered the wrath of a ruthless City side in the set of fixtures just gone by. Both sides will be looking to get some points back on the board but with the home crowd behind the Baggies, we think they’ll edge it.

STAR MAN: Jay Rodriguez (5.5m)

He could be the one to prosper with Sturridge partnering him up front.

PREDICTION: West Brom 2-1 Southampton

Arsenal vs Everton

The mighty Gunners are on the back of a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Swans in the midweek fixture. Wenger will be poised to fight back for the top 4 places with his January reinforcements in place, but you can never rule out Allardyce’s Toffees who are always up for these big ones. A high scoring game might be around the corner.

STAR MAN: Mesut Ozil (9.3m)

He is the man who will be looking to run the show for the Gunners, following his recent contract extension.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-2 Everton

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle

Another game for the clubs at the bottom who are tussling it out to stay in the league. It is a very important game for the Eagles as a win could take them up to five points above their opponents and hence, you could expect this Newcastle team to give it their all in order to get a result from this game.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Zaha (6.9m)

He has been involved in every attack the Eagles make and his contribution might be crucial in the Eagles clinching the points in this game.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 2-1 Newcastle

Liverpool vs Tottenham

Super Sunday offers what we can call the game of the gameweek, with 2 Premier League giants going head to head at Anfield. Spurs are on the back of a promising result, having thumped Jose’s United side at Wembley. Spurs will be looking for more of the same but with this crazy Liverpool attack as the opposition, you never know when they’ll give their performance of the season.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (10.3m)

He has to score. Period.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham

Watford vs Chelsea

Chelsea were surprisingly completely outplayed last time out by Bournemouth at the Bridge as they lost by a convincing 3-0 scoreline. Conte’s boys will definitely be looking to get things back on track and they won’t be accepting anything less than the 3 points.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.7m)

With Morata still a doubt, the Belgian could easily be deployed to lead the line.

PREDICTION: Watford 0-2 Chelsea
