Gameweek 34 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The gameweek we’ve all been waiting for, double gameweek 34. For those looking to rise up the rankings & win those mini Leagues, this gameweek potentially offers huge gains to be made. So, which chip are you rolling out this double gameweek…!?

Good luck & may the arrows be green!

Southampton vs Chelsea

The Blues are winless since crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona and need to start getting results if they are to cement at least 5th place. Southampton are in a worse off position, having struggled to hit any sort of form all season and so a win against the Blues might not be a result they will be expecting this week.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.6m)

The Belgian can single handedly make the Blues tick.

PREDICTION: Southampton 1-3 Chelsea

Burnley vs Leicester

The Foxes come into this fixture after a disappointing home defeat against the Magpies, and will surely be looking to make amends cometh the business end of the season, but do remember an away day at Turf Moor is always a tough ask.

STAR MAN: Riyad Mahrez (9.0m)

It will surely take something special to overcome this Burnley side and if it comes, we reckon this man will be key.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-1 Leicester

Crystal Palace vs Brighton

Brighton have certainly earned themselves some praise in the Premier League to date and they will be looking to carry that form into the next set of fixtures. Palace on the other hand sit just one place above the relegation scrap, with just a single win in the last 10 league games. Brighton are in touching distance of that 40 point safe haven so they will be pushing to get there as soon as possible.

STAR MAN: Pascal Gross (6.0m)

His underlying stats hint towards a big haul on the horizon.

PREDICTION: Brighton 2-0 Crystal Palace

Huddersfield vs Watford

The Hornets come into this weekend fixture on the back of a disappointing result at home against the Clarets. Huddersfield would’ve probably expected more from their last few games and need to pick up some points somewhere between now and the end of the season.

STAR MAN: Roberto Pereyra (5.8m)

Goals in each of the last 2, we can surely expect something from the Argentine.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield 1-2 Watford

Swansea vs Everton

The Swans are not playing the best of football of late, as a result of which they sit just 4 points above 18th placed Southampton. Everton looked a solid set-up in the Merseyside Derby last weekend. An away win may be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Cenk Tosun (6.9m)

4 goals in the last 5 league games. Certainly one to watch out for.

PREDICTION: Swansea 0-2 Everton

Liverpool vs Bournemouth

A fixture that certainly needs no explanation. Liverpool at home & on the back of securing a semi-final place in the Champions League. You know what to expect from this one.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (10.5m)

For the nth time, if he starts he scores. Period.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth

Tottenham vs Manchester City

A torrid week for the City faithful having lost the Manchester Derby as well as being humiliated in both the legs of the Champions League quarter finals at the hands of Liverpool. Nevertheless, Pep’s side are just 2 wins away from the league title, and this week come up against a similar attacking side in Tottenham. This fixture definitely promises fireworks with City wanting normality back in their results (as the title is already wrapped up), & Tottenham fighting for 3rd place (says the United fan 😉).

STAR MAN: David Silva (8.2m)

He is the go-to man when the Citizens need that magic from midfield.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 2-2 Manchester City

Newcastle vs Arsenal

The Gunners have won their previous three league games and have scored 3 goals in each. This week they are up against a Newcastle side who are confident thanks to their recent run of form. Arsenal will now have their eyes on the faltering Chelsea above them but Newcastle will want those final points to reach the 40 point mark.

STAR MAN: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (10.8m)

In red hot form and is unstoppable when playing in this fashion.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-3 Arsenal

Manchester United vs West Brom

After defeating their city rivals by overturning a 2 goal deficit, the Red Devils will be pumped up going into every game from here on in. The title might be gone but they will still be looking to keep winning and cement their position in second place and end the season on a positive note.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.6m)

The Belgian is always a threat against the bottom half clubs and against a poor Albion defence, his former club, he certainly might be an asset.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-0 West Brom

West Ham vs Stoke

West Ham have been inconsistent to say the least and they will need to do some work in the coming weeks in order to assure themselves safety. A home game against the Potters is a good opportunity and a win will push the gap between the two to about 10 points. Stoke haven’t been playing great football lately and will not find it easy away from home.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (6.9m)

He will be key for the Hammers in breaking down that Stoke defence and causing them trouble.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-1 Stoke

Brighton vs Tottenham

Onto the double gameweekers and first up we have Brighton & Spurs. Brighton have picked up some decent results at home in recent weeks but the current form their opposition this week are in suggests that Spurs will probably pick up the three points and cement their top 4 spot in the league.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.9m)

When fit, he is lethal. Triple captain contender for sure, eh?

PREDICTION: Brighton 0-2 Tottenham

Bournemouth vs Manchester United

The Cherries have been handed arguably the toughest double gameweek fixtures you could ask for at the moment – Liverpool followed by Manchester United. United are in great form and if Bournemouth fail to pick up any points from these 2 games, they may feel the pressure from teams below them in the final run-in.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.6m)

A double gameweek player and hot property as he plays both games against bottom half clubs. Makes for another great triple captain option.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-3 Manchester United

Burnley vs Chelsea

The Clarets have had an unbelievable season and find themselves in 7th as a result. It has been a great team performance from Sean Dyche’s men. Having won their last 4 games, they are up against a Chelsea team that are hungry for a win as a loss might even result in them losing out on 5th place! The Blues will be fired up to get a result from this game.

STAR MAN: Willian (7.2m)

The Brazilian will have to weave his magic in order to crack open that stubborn Burnley defence.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-1 Chelsea

Leicester vs Southampton

Leicester are in a comfortable position in 8th place, guaranteed safety and probably a top half finish in the league. Southampton on the other hand have had a poor season. For the Saints though, this is a must win.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (8.9m)

In great form having scored in his last three games and will be looking to continue this scoring streak.

PREDICTION: Leicester 3-1 Southampton
