This article will look at 5 players selected by user 5% of managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 19 for a one week punt or beyond to push managers up the overall rankings.
Reece James (£5.0m) – Chelsea – 0.5% TSB
Reece James has looked very attacking and creative when he has been given match time this season which is likely to happen again at the weekend with Azpilicueta needing a rest. In gameweek 19 Chelsea host Southampton who sit 17th in the table at the moment. Chelsea have just kept a clean sheet away at spurs and so there is potential for James both in an attacking and defensive sense. James has 2 attacking returns in 4 matches so far this season.
Paul Pogba (£8.4m) – Manchester United – 3.5% TSB
Pogba has been injured which has seen both his price and ownership drop. In gameweek 19 Manchester United host a Newcastle side who have been very mixed in recent weeks. Pogba will need to be heavily involved to help break down this Newcastle side who defend well on the road. We saw glimpse of this as he came off the bench against Watford and if he plays like this for 90 minutes he will get and create chances. We saw a similar trend with Pogba last year and a return would see his ownership and price rocket.
Willian (£7.0m) – Chelseas – 3.4% TSB
Despite being nailed in the Chelsea team and averaging over 4 points per game so far this season, Willian is owned by less that 5.0% of managers! He also returned 16 points in gameweek 18 away at spurs and is on some set pieces. In gameweek 19 Chelsea host a Southampton side who have been far from brilliant defensively and so there will be many chances coming Chelsea’s way. Chelsea have strong fixtures over the next 5 and Willian should start 4 of this over the busy period and so he is definitely worth investing in for the short/medium term.
Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) – Arsenal – 1.7% TSB
Arsenal take a trip to Bournemouth on Boxing Day, which will be Mikel Arteta’s first fixture as manager of the Gunners. Lacazette has managed to score 3 goals in his last 3 Premier League starts, with a brace against Southampton and a goal against Brighton. If Arsenal are to get back to winning ways, they will need their key attacking players to start finding the back of the net more regularly and this could be a perfect week for Lacazette to start doing so!
Callum Wilson (£7.4m) – Bournemouth – 4.8% TSB
Wilson has managed to find the back of the net on 5 occasions this season, whilst picking up 3 assists also. This week Bournemouth host an out of sorts Arsenal side and although they may not be favourites to win, there will certainly be goals and chances for Wilson to score.
