This article will look at 5 players selected by under 5% of managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 4 for a one week punt to push managers up the overall rankings.
Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) – West Ham – 4.8% TSB
He scored 5 points in gameweek 3 with an assist and plays Norwich at home in gameweek 4. West Ham and Norwich both look like teams that struggle defensively and will opt to outscore their opponents rather than to just win 1-0 so this match has the potential for a large amount of goals. We saw last season Anderson can be very difficult to mark and manage for the defending team and with Norwich’s poor defence he could definitely exploit these and have a very good game.
Sebastien Haller (£7.4m) – West Ham – 3.9% TSB
He fell in price after being unavailable for gameweek 2 and blanking in gameweek 1 but returned 13 points in gameweek 3 with a brace against Watford. He looks like the forward that West Ham have been missing in seasons gone and has clicked with the team quickly and has a great eye for goal. West Ham also have good fixtures coming up so could be more than a one week pick also.
Daniel James (£6.0m) – Manchester United – 3.7% TSB
He has scored twice in 3 matches this season including last game against crystal palace. This weekend they travel to Southampton for the early kick off on Saturday. With the news that Martial is a doubt for the weekend the responsibility for Rashford and James to score will be even more and James looks to have taken to the team and life in the Prem very quickly. His low price makes it easy for managers to afford and it not be too much of a hindrance if he doesn’t perform as expected.
Pepe (£9.4m) – Arsenal – 3.5% TSB
He is yet to get attacking returns this season but looked very lively against Liverpool including being the first player to dribble past Van Djik for 50 matches and there are normally goals in the North London Derby. If Arsenal go with the front 3 of Auba Lacazette and Pepe again Spurs may struggle especially after their defensive performances so far this season. Lacazette also has low ownership and so is another nice differential if you need a FWD rather than the MID of Pepe. Also after this game Arsenal have an incredible run of fixtures and so Pepe will more than likely start to pick up momentum.
Emerson (£5.5m) – Chelsea – 2.5% TSB
He has not returned more than 2 points in any match this season but has looked their best defender. He has made the third most tackles in the league so far behind Wan B and Periera which will help his bonus points. Also he has been creating changes with XR (expected attacking return) of 0.63 per game meaning he has underperformed and may well produce soon and so a home fixture against Sheffield United could be the perfect time. Emerson is creating a lot of talk as after Chelsea’s more tricky first few games they have a strong run for the foreseeable future and so their assets such as Emerson and Mount could offer strong set and forget differentials going forward.
Thanks for reading and good luck in gameweek 4.
