Gameweek 8 Differentials – Fantasy Football Tips

This article will look at 5 players selected by under 5% of managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 8. A one week punt to push managers up the overall rankings or maybe one to keep for the long haul.

Fikayo Tomori (£4.6m) – Chelsea – 3.8% TSB

This week Chelsea travel to the south coast to face off against Southampton and look for their second CS of the season after keeping Brighton out in gameweek 7. Tomori also picked up his first assist in the UCL on Wednesday so does have the ability to get attacking returns. He has looked the best Chelsea defender at the start of this season and so his place in the team should be nailed even after Rudiger returns so is a cheap way into a top 6 defence.

Willian (£7.0m) – Chelsea – 1.1% TSB

As well as Tomori on the Chelsea team Willian has gone under the radar with only 1.1% of managers despite scoring 10 points in gameweek 7 as well as scoring midweek in the UCL. He is starting to show a lot of form Chelsea fans haven’t seen in a long time and so it may be hard for him to be dropped. However there is a slight concern with where Hudson Odoi fits into the lineup so is likely to be a short term differential.

Tanguy Ndombele (£6.0m) – Tottenham – 4.2% TSB

Spurs have an away trip to Brighton this weekend. Ndombele has returned 2 goals and assist in just 4 starts so far this season and with many Spurs players not performing to the level needed the burden will fall to inform players like Ndombele to perform. With many of the cheaper options rising in price like mount.

Chris Wood (£6.2m) – Burnley – 1.1% TSB

Wood is owned by only 1.1% of managers, despite scoring 20 points over the past 2 gameweeks. The main reason for this was that it has taken several weeks for him to get going, but he has seen more success with the switch from Right ST to the Left and thus receiving more of the creative ability of McNeil. In gameweek 8 Burnley host Everton who have been suspect as of late and so there is definitely room for Burnley to attack and get goals.

Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) – West Ham – 4.5% TSB

Felipe Anderson has been predicted as a strong differential for several weeks and is still only owned by 4.5% of managers. This gameweek they host a Palace team that have looked overly strong this season in defence but weaker in attack and so the flair of Anderson could be vital to break down Palace as they will likely have a lot of men behind the ball. Anderson has returned 3 assists so far this season including 2 in the past 2 gameweeks. Yarmolenko at £6.0m also offers a really strong option at just 3.5% owned with 20 points over the past 2 gameweeks. Creswell at only £4.9m should also be considered with 21 points in 2 games including 2 goals from Left Back.

Thanks for reading and good luck in gameweek 8
